I took the components out so I can cut the case to mount the PSU properly (was double taped), I installed everything on the mobo tray and used a screw driver to short the power-on pins(was too lazy to get the power buttom/cable from the garage). i got a spark when i tried to power it on, but it did powered on a few sec then shut off completely, and i cant get it to post anymore. Don't really know what happened![]()
also, whats wrong with the PSU placement? I put the PA120.3 on the top so I have to relocate the PSU somewhere else. Now it is sucking cold air from outside the case and exhaust it to the front, i think it is good for the PSU? Same as the Lian Li A05 ..

It may be good, but it looks a bit ugly with the power cbale coming from the font. I love the rest thought, amazing coolant colour

hehe, I agree with you, it looks ugly with the power cable coming from the front. But I will be using a right-angled power cable and route the cable inside the case, exit at the back. Actually I was thinking to get a kit like the lian li a05,so I can running an extension cable to the back and mount it there. but i couldnt get the socket in the UK so I 'll just use a right-angled 3M power cable.when finished, the front should be looks like this:

Finally got the mobo delivered with the MIPS blocks -- DFI UT X48
I've decided to seperate the NB/SB/Mosfet from the loop since the last install's temp wasnt satisfying. Will be adding a new loop for them after I finished my other build. Here's the finished build for nowStill need to add a mesh at the back , where the orignal PSU mounting plate is.
Some night shots, the coils are more vivid green in real, i dont know how to take pics for the uv glow in dark, tried a few setting with no luck, this is the best i can get.
Here's the MIPS nb/sb/mosfet blocks, I'm thinking of getting another DDC and a RS240 or 360 for them, will decide when the reviews of the RS come out.
This is my first try on cable management, took a lot of time but still not as clean as I want. Any comments/suggetions welcome.![]()
Thanks disruptfam. Yep I went with the green coils to match the mobo as im thinking 2 loops, yellow and green to match the mobo. it may look better with black tubing with contrast but i cant find them in stock so used the clear tubing i have. Decided not to use the feser one fluid as they stained the tube and res in only one week, cant image what will happen in a few months.
when u say seperat them a bit, which parts u meant? i think the mem coolers taking a lot space and makes the components looks squeezed I have a OCZ cooler that i can switch with them, but i also like the coppers![]()
Last photos are awesome.Very clean setup for a small 831![]()

Woot. I would be very interested to hear the temperature of you PWM area after you wack that MIPS block on.
Everything looks fantastic. Keep up the good work.

i have been playing with the new mobo, so far have the q6600 running 3.6 @ 1.36v ( was 1.34 on p5k-e), about same idle temp 35 35 30 35, i have mount the cpu block a few time and this is the best temp i can get. im running out of ideas, i thought the pa120.3 could do better temps without the NB/mosfet in the loop?![]()
35C idle, how about load? sounds normal for an overclocked q66...
35C is like what we have as ambient when its summer time... imagine what our idle and load times would be...
actually i have just checked the heater controller in my room and it shows ambient temp of 26c, i dont think it's accurate so i'll get a room thermalmeter tmri had the prime95 running last night, realtemp recorded max temp as 61 61 54 55
35c is not as hot as my hometown but you must have AC there when it's summer? :p
