790 corruption issues?

thats a vista issue tho... i find this bug hilarious... the whole point of going 64bit and going vista is to be able to use more memory (or xp64, but who upgrades to xp64 nowadays...)

May I ask whats wrong with xp64?

I have been saying this all along(the unreliabilty of sfc).

Thanks for saying this! with everybody saying SFC should work ok, it makes me think that I might be corrupted... when Im almost sure Im not.

in XP sfc does not give you any results. It asks for the xp cd/dvd and if it determines that the files are corrupted, it replaces those files from the cd/dvd directly.

Finally, Asus has shipped my replacement S2E.

Ok so you are saying that there is no way you can find out if you have corruption in XP? Is there any way cause I would like to test it out.

+1 for crackling with X-FI-pci card. I get it in games(assiassin creed opening video) I always get it when Vista fires it's start-up sound.

I thought my sound card was fried was going to order a new one...going to have to look into this further now.

Then I guess you guys going to have to wait for another BIOS revision that fixes this. Is NVIDIA using the same code from 680i? Because is the same issues... pray that they dont take a year (like with the first striker) to fix x-fi issues... people had to wait all the wait to 1401 to get X-fi issue fixed and even some still had issues.
