    You guys are confused.
They are talking about Charles aka Fugger.
The other guy is talking about Charlie Demerjian from TheInquirer.
And xlink is talking about Charlie, the admin/mod here ( yes, with the yoda avatar in the past )

If the transition from X1950XTX/7900GTX to the 8800GTX was a whoopass for ya, then yes, this will be a whoopass as well

    Oh, it'll whoopass.

The worst part? I flew home, slept for a day and now have to work some crazy hours for the rest of the week to hit deadline and then fly off to Taiwan for Computex... all the while my new NVIDIA GPU will be sitting at home all alone - I think it may need a baby sitter. Watch out though, it packs a bunch

Thanks to NVIDIA for the hospitality and also props to Fugger and k|ngp|n for simply being chilled out and easy people to get along with - a harsh trip (massive time-zone swaps + little sleep) can be made up for by good company

Yeah. We'll be staying one night @ Raffles before we make our way to Taiwan.

I'll be travelling with Nick Ross from PC Authority and two of the company's sales/marketing team. We'll probably be catching up with one of our old sales crew now based in Singapore and hitting the local bars and clubs. If you're free (I'll get dates, times etc) it'd be great to catch up with you again. PM me if you're in need of some toys to play with - unfortunately the new baby is off limits at the moment (NDAs etc).

To be completely honest, and this will no doubt sound cliche, I just fell into it.

I grew up always wanting to just skate for my life. Make a living off that if possible - even if it was just scraping by - and just enjoy life like that. Then I broke my ankle and following this was a string of injuries. I lost my sponsors and due to recovery time, a lot of my skill as well.

During this time out I got into computers and just picked it up and kind of ran with it. First I got into gaming and competed in some high level clan scenes for a while but ultimately got drawn into the hardware and benchmarking.

Now I'm one of the founding members of Team.AU and work full time for an Australian enthusiast tech magazine and spend my days overclocking and testing the latest hardware (not always enjoyable - like today *sigh*)

Nah, more like two AMD platform motherboards (790FX and 780a) eatting it and failing and another X48 board playing up.

Thankfully I finished the 9-series GPU coverage before I went to the US - it'd be written in a totally different light now hahaha. Damn it! All I want to do is play with the new NVIDIA GPU

Tonight I've gotta bench some P45 gear too. I came back from the US to find five P45 based motherboards waiting for me though still waiting on any from GIGABYTE

I wish I could simply stop time and bench hardware in a void

i saw some new CUDA stuff (it should be CUDA 2.0) and i am impressed it can run some libraries with native support in C++ but its open to the public and works in windows, im hoping that this will make ati put their steams coding tools in the public and not only workstation partners
