    Hi
PLA123 The best set-up i could come up with using the Xigmatek power supply is.

Put the 2 PCIe 6pin modular cables into the power supply use them to run the video cards with .
put one SATA modular cable into the plug closest to the out side edge of the case of the power supply. I ran my 2 hard drives off that line .
put one molex modular cable into the plug closest to the out side edge of the case of power supply. I ran my DVD burner and floppy off that line.
Put one modular molex cable into the plug in the middle of the power supply . I ran a floppy plug off that line to power to the mother board 2 4pin flopply plugs per DFI manual .It adds more power to the mother board to help with the stably of the board.

that set-up ran the most stable for me .Now if i use the 2 to PCIe 6+2 line to power the video cards my rig would crash 2 to 3 mins after i log into vista running a 2.81 ghz.

So you know i have RMA my Xigmatek power supply i had up to 30 day and the power supply was not going to be able to run 3 video cards in rig and be able to keep it running stable and that what i got it for in the frist place. It could be the one i got was just a bad
power supply and that your will run your rig troulbe free. I got a PC POWER & COOLING 750w silencer crossfire edition power supply.
It has ran my rig over clock at 2.81 trouble free with no crashing at stock volts so ( about 7 hours run time so far) we how it goses .

I have done 3.2 Ghz with X3 8750, at box cooling, with ASUS Crosshair 2. The system was pretty stable at vcore ~ 1.34v, but CPU generates a lot of heat.

With Phenom 9550 I was reached 3.05 Ghz, also with box cooling and 1.32v on cheap GA-MA78GM-S2.

With better air cooling, and motherboards these CPU's can reach 3.25-3.3 Ghz.

best thing AMD can do is close down and burn in hell...
they don't deserve any attention, they don't deserve a spot on a forum.

I have AMD, but I now hate AMD so much for releasing only POS cpu's...

I swear if i ever meet hector, i will freaking kick him real hard...

How long have you looked at Brothers Acid signature for?
I did think there was a secret message in it, maybe you got the wrong one?

    That's a great OC!!!

I trust BOINC as much or maybe more than P95/Orthos for OC'ing results but I use SETI instead of Einstein (but I also crunch Einstein!). The nice thing about SETI is all the work units are crunched by two different computers so the work is actually validated. I used to think any WU would error before reporting as good but results on my (only) Intel proved that to be a false assumption. It happily continued to return faulty work units for a couple of days before I caught the problem, but no locks-ups, hiccups, or anything else to show there was something wrong. SuperPi and P95 both ran just fine even though the system obviously wasn't stable ...

You must play small supcom battles. On the normal to large size maps with a few AI players, things really start bogging down.

    ---

I just received a week 11 9850 for a friend's machine and I've noticed something. No messed up corners! It looks like they took a fine grinder all around the edge on the heat spreader.

Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.

    Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.

    Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.

    Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.

    Rule 3:
When it comes to computer news, 70% of Internet rumors are outright fabricated, 20% are inaccurate enough to simply be discarded, and about 10% are based in reality. Grains of salt--become familiar with them.

Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!

    Random Tip o' the Whatever
You just can't win. If your product offers feature A instead of B, people will moan how A is stupid and it didn't offer B. If your product offers B instead of A, they'll likewise complain and rant about how anyone's retarded cousin could figure out A is what the market wants.

Although I didnt have lot of problems with the current grinding on Phenoms, good to know and thx for letting us know! Better grinding is of course always better.

Any possibility you could make a photo of it? Or is it already too late? If so, did only the edges get a better grinding or did the whole IHS look 'better' too?

Im happy I waited with buying another Phenom. The longer I wait, the better OC results I see on the net. And this news is only better
