But I also wanted to know if increasing the ddr memory speed to the 9XX speeds would impede my OC? Would that work or no?
I believe it may have been me who recommended them, as I was using thos in my system up until two days ago... fast huh?

To add some insight to your question - higher frequency does not always mean higher performance with DDR2. For instance DDR2 800 w/ tight timings will almost always beat DDR2 1000 with looser timings. Even DDR2 667 with tight timings can beat out much "faster" memory.

As for your OC, I ran these modules at 945MHz to bring my OC to 3.4GHz (9x378) timings were still good enough to be worth it at this speed. I'd have kept these modules if I didn't need so much RAM for the work I am doing these days. Ended up upgrading to 8GB G.Skill.

P.S. Vista LOVES 8GB RAM!! It is sooo much faster than XP now for a lot of things. Superfetch is awesome if you have enough memeory for it to not bog down your system.
