I'm still not sure how and where to measure my nb and cpu gtls, and how to turn those numbers into the spreadsheet numbers (65,60, etc). I'm assuming to use the 2 DCV setting instead of 20 for checking rails right? Any links to a guide?

Must be a brand new trend. Mine came with drivers for XP and the audio works fine.

    The...

Praz did that 'naughty monkey' of yours click on Audio Install when the CD auto-ran? He is some smart/naughty monkey...
Back and forth from board to board it seems.

Yeah. He's not smart enough to browse the CD but is more then capable of point and click.

I get driver failed every time, auto or other wise. I open tree like your image and click XP then US and the US file is empty. Also jumper is in correct location. I have owned DFI P35 with same audio and no issues. Perhaps bad audio card

Praz, how would you suggest to move the gtls together (0/2 1/3)? one ata time, or in sets? I just can't seem to stop one core from failing. as soon as I get close to correcting the gtl offset, another core fails.
    So far I've deduced:

Cores 0 and 2 are 2nd setting, 1 and 3 cores are first.
NB GTL has nothing to do with the other gtls.
    in Prime95, core 0 isthread 1, core 1=thread 2, core 2=thread 3, and core 3= thread 4
    please Correct any if wrong.

I've also noticed some patterns, such as if you have the setting too far one way, if you look closely at P95 and which cores fail, you can figure out which way to go with which gtl.

I set up an experiment. I started with 137/124/112 gtls at 1.360 VTT. with this setting, core 1 would fail. For every time I went PAST the stable point using the second setting(in this case 127), the OTHER core would fail. For example, if thread 1 was failing, when I raised that cores GTL control (thread 1 = core 0) past the stable point, 127, core 3 would fail instead. I tried again with 125, and sure enough, core 1 failed this time. Then I tried 128, and got a fail on 3 again. I'm wondering if this is just pure luck, or the actual way GTLS work and an easier way of adjusting them.

edit: Also, is there any link to a guide on taking those measurements from the motherboard? I'm a bit timid to stick my fat hands down there. Any ways to make it easier to read?

    Palese,

Although the drivers on the Realtek site are generic they are newer than the ones on the DFI site. They state that they are driver only but they still come with the systray software/config application.

I am using the 1.92 drivers from the Realtek site but the vista version and they work just fine on this board.

Heres a link for the XP ones if you want to give them a try:

    ftp://202.65.194.211/pc/audio/WDM_R192.zip

    Regards

This question has been asked numerous times and maybe no one knows yet, but what is the difference between the newer dated UT bios and the 320 LT bios? If it's the same bios, just newer board, that's fine, but if it has something new that the LT can benefit from, i'd like to update to it.

    Knock...

Knock oneself out. Flash the bios and void your warranty if such is determined. There are a number of bioses being worked on as time permits in Taiwan. Will they make your board an over-clocking gawd? Nope, never seen a bios do that. But they will have one written for the specific boards.
Back and forth from board to board it seems.

Hey guys I've had a blast OCn this board and my Q6700, I've been able to run 405FSB @ x10 multi and 450FSB @ x9 multi while remaining bench stable(ambients were to high to stress test) but 500FSB x8 is giving me all sorts of fits...

    450FSB x9

    CPU VID : 1.48x
CPU VID special Add : 100.23%
    DRAM voltage : 2.23
    NB : 1.45
    CPU VTT : 1.23

Everything else I left on auto(GTL ref included)... Assuming my q6700 is capable of 500FSB, would I have to tweak the GTL Ref, CPU VTT or SB/CPU PLL to get there?

All I can say having previously owned an Abit board is that these DFI's are friggin packed with all sorts of tweaks and I'm somewhat intimated. Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated.

this is my first time on a dfi myself, and im finding it a bit frustrating... but im being patient. priming 4ghz q6600 now. i will let you know my settings for 450+ when i figure out the bios well enough. need to tweak the ram soon too...

Please do let us know the settings. I find that there isn't a bunch of people with a Q6600 with this board. The GTLS are killing me, as anything in the 67% range for me is way off. More like 70%.
