Yes, i have a homemade watercooling, the temps with 1.68v are 30 idle and 50 full load but it's unstable.

Cool. Seem like you made a good job with your watercooling! thats very good temps with 1.68 vcore.
My 2160 gets way over 70c at 3.6 mhz 1.53 vore and still I have a zigmatek and about 10 120mm fans in my case

for my e2180, the vcore and temps in BIOS, PCwizard, coretemp, cpu-z, speedFan, and easy Tune5 (gigabyte's included software). why are there so many difference?! and which one is the most accurate? btw, it's currently OCed to 3ghz
I hesitate which CPU has a higher percentage OC potential, 2140 or 2160?I am going to participate into the Annual OC Tournament in Bulgaria, using a TR ULTRA 120-E+ 2 X SSFLEX 120mm fan.The rules praise the higher OC percentage.Which one should I buy, and what stepping, I mean, how do I recognise it?![]()

but I have a problem to get fsb 425+ even on multi 6...
I tried every multiplier, more fsb (430-550), increased voltage on cpu to 1.75, vNB 1.65, vSB 1.7, v chipset 1.2, vFSB 1.45, nothing help me... but with vNB on 1.45 and all other settings on auto there is no problem to get 510fsb with my e7200, but no more with any other setttings...
I need more fsb because I am going to do my first dice benching ... any advice?
Do you think it would be better if I buy Asus P5K-E ? Is it good for dice benching?
Thanks![]()
let me ask, the cooler that is comming with E21XX series is a lower profile and worse machined one, how far can I go with it, is 3ghz possible without going too high temp. even if full load?

I just built a system for a friend. Core Temp says the VID of his e2160 is 1.215. I think that is a record low VID. I've heard of Q6600 GO's getting 1.215 but not the e2160. I bought this chip from zipzoomfly.com
Can anyone confirm this is the lowest VID or do they go lower on the e2160?

Well you were just lucky that I saw your post. I bought a secondhanded E2160 and it had a VID of... hold your breath... 1.175V! That thing clocks like madness, on stock volts (I put 1.175v in the BIOS to get the same as the VID) it went up to 2800-2900MHz with 1.128v real. I put the volts up to 1.3 (1.248v real) and it went to about 3050MHz. I think I need to add more juice to get more, the heat doesn't hold it back. Now 53 degrees under full load, CPU_FAN @ 1200RPM.
I haven't changed anything about the mobo-volts or something else. Working with the Gigabyte P35DS3, bios F6.
hello guys, I've got an E2140 running at 370FSB @ about 1.25v (2920MHz), but i can't get past 375MHz, it just freezes. Im using GB GA-P35-DS3. I've tried adjusting the ram divider, raising voltages on everything, didn't manage it to work. Is it possible to hit the FSB wall @ 375? Or am I doing anything wrong? Thanks in advance. oh and sorry for my engrish. :P
edited - i just noticed the VID is kinda high (1.3000v), could it be the problem?
