    Question Airflow & CPU HSF

    hi , i'm new here
i have a Thermaltake Blue Orb II on my cpu currently ... but i dont know why that's too hot ! (it should be around 45c right now ) and u haven't oc it even ...
i want you suggest me a good CPU HSF (i rather Thermaltake cause i can find it easily around)
btw i'm thinking about MiniTyp 90 , MiniTyp90 Value Pack or BigTyp 120
what's your idea ? r they good enough to cool my cpu at least more than Blue Orb II ?

and about my case airflow what do u think about it ? i have a Thermaltake Armor case with its stock fans (one front, blows the air inside ;two rear ,blows the air outside and one on top and it blows the air outside)
btw is that efficient to add another fan on front ? its better that blows air outside or inside ? or change its stock fans ?

at last sorry for my bad english and noob questions !

Might look here. Are your suggested heatsinks listed on the link? You need a bigger heatsink.

ThermalTake aren't very popular amongst the members of the forum (for the record). So, being one of those members, I'd like to point you over to a company who share most of their name, but lie in the complete opposite end of quality scale. ThermalRight

Depending on how much doe you're willing to dish out (amount of money you're willing to spend, ahem). You'd be off nicely with anything from an Ultra-120 eXtreme (High-end and extremely recommendable), to an Ultima-90 (Lower High-end, like the ultra's smaller brother), to a HighRiser-01 Plus (Mid-Range).

And if you want the extra bling, grab the massive Inferno Fire eXtinguisher, which also sports a fancy backside cooler.

    Good hunting, and pick wisely

hmm i've seen most of people in this forum suggest such products i'd be happy if i find it here , how much do they cost ? and does it fit on my mb ?
but what's wrong with thermaltake ? i've just heard their WC is bad ...
btw we are excepting case airflow !

The Big Typhoon is an excellent cooler but just doesn'e compete with the thermalright ultra 120 extreme, The Typhoon is still a good choice if the Ultra extreme 120 won;t ffit in your case or sumthing

Thermaltake Armor is a full-tower case and it will fit, no problem there.

    Welcome to XtremeSystems Hybrid SyntaX!

Would contact Thermalright but I'll put my money on that it will fit perfectly.
OC'ing on that 975BX shouldn't be much of a problem. A fresh BIOS should improve on OC'ing capability so you could certainly give it a spin. Ofc you could be hardware-limited by your mb, but doesn't seem very likely to me.
BTW you from Iran, man that's some country to be in nowadays huh? Maybe the high ambient temp could limit you too!

It will fit no doubt, both in the case and on the mobo.

Big Typhoon is a good air cooler, but it's just a different league compared to the Ultra 120 eXtreme.

    Question

    hi again
i've decided to retrieve this thread
finally i bought a HSF ! its CoolerMaster Sphere it looks a lot better vs Blue Orb II to me (btw i had two choices CM Sphere or CM Hyper 212)
    the differences were
Hyper 212 looks like more a OC-friendly HSF than Sphere
Sphere looks better than Hyper 212
Sphere was a little more expensive
also according to Retailer words Sphere was cooler than Hyper 212 and also when i saw x-bit's charts ... (Sphere & Hyper 212 )
however i get 44~c temps here and room temp is 26~c
    running @ 2713
and going up to 56~c on load

btw have i made a good choice ?is there any comparison between these two hsfs ?
    -----------------------------------------
    forgetting about cpu hsf
will a(some) additional fan helps my airflow in case ?
i have 4 fan now 1 is intake @ front (12cm) 1 is outtake(12cm) @ rear one is outtake @ top (9cm) and one is rear of my HDD outtake(i think) and it should be 12cm
is it efficient to add another 12cm fan at front ? (intake or outtake ?)
or mod side panel and add some fans maybe find a side panel with a 25cm fan? it's not harmful for my lcd if i direct warm air to it ?!

thanks a lot i'm waiting eagerly for your answers

A hole or big fan in the side would probably work well for that heatsink.
I put a hole in the side of my Lian-li to give a Big Typhoon better air and it cut like 10c off load.

    The LCD won't mind either.
