but i've found a screenshot of our opteron 154 @ -3°C. no world record so it will not be validated. but i think we are credible.

Well, but nice clock anyways. Strange that you needed -3c to make it work, thought it ad a pretty nice coldbug!

    Waiting for results!!!

    Great stuff!

...what stepping is that FX55 SD btw? Looks terrible! I've got one that can do 100mhz more at 40c higher temps and 0.1v less than that one

    Is the FX55 Clawhammer a CAA2C, btw?

sandiego was 0516wpmw... and yes the FX-55 was the CAA2C. very cool stuff with coldness. we needed exactly -156°C on the tube, at -157°C the board don't recognize the cpu anymore. so we are three people on that run. Besi was the man on the tube with LN2. stunned_guy pressed F7 and me moved the regulator in clockgen. team-work.

That FX-55 Clawhammer was not an CAA2C it was an AAA2C 0435 UPAW
    That FX-55 0516 suc.ks very hard

I tested this Opteron 154 at home but with 1.55 vcore i had only -2c so I will need LN2.
I have modded my board again now i hope to get some better temps with all cpus...
That Opteron 185 didnt goes very high with DICE at the session i got around 100 mhz less than i got at home....have to try it again.

Great to finally get the validations! One more WR in the hands of the wicked 939 trio (fx55 clawhammer)

Btw, got a 4000+ CAAXC 0432UPMW (you SHOULD recognize the stepping!)

Hoping to get the 4000+ Clawhammer WR, it's at 3600mhz atm.

My new FX60 passed through customs on friday, too. Hopefully, it'll be good enough to break the WR as well (3875 mhz). Aaaaalmost the EXACT same batch # as my 154 So I have high hopes for it

Aaaargh... I wanna bench NOW!!! But no cooling and no board

That 4000+ should rocks I think. I search also for this cpu. I had one 4000+ clawhammer in the past but could only test it under single stage for 3524 mhz...under ln2 it should break that 3.6 ghz.

I have a feeling that the 3500+ Clawhammer record might be harder than teh 4000+. Only 70 mhz less, and with 11 multi instead of 12 you need quite a bit higher temps I think.

I remember I ALMOST got an FX55 AAAXC 0434UPMW once... still wonder if that one would've made it all the way to 4 ghz... Unfortunately, FX55's have suddnely become VERY popular, quite a few went for like 200 bucks on us ebay lately I'm glad I bought all my chips for less than half of that ridicolus price

Haha How the heck did you do that?

Reminds me of my poor, delidded 3800+ venice (which was even better than the one I got to 386x mhz...). Tried to run it with no Ceramique on the die. No boot, and after a little while it was very clear that a part of the core was loose

Still my worst OC experience And I've ruined 2 Venus mobos + God knows what

well the storry was that: on my wr run back in the days i could boot with only 1.74v. so i've desided to try it with an copper-pot. the temps were better, means i gave more vcore... no problem till 1.9v... then the system powered off and didn't start anymore. but the cpu had not a good day anyway.. because the max i've reached was 3830mhz (you know wr is 3941mhz)... after that power off... we removed the pot and stunned_guy mounted a hs on the chip... power on, and there was the sound "knack"...

ohhhh man look at that!!! it's a quad-core!!!!!

Nice split but sorry for the killing action

    @ Knut
I got 2 days ago an FX-55 SD for 60 euro Its not the best stepping but for ln2 it schould do 3.9 Ghz. Its an 0520 RPMW...i had this one a while ago could prime it to 3.5 ghz without hs.

Nice WR's, but the FX53 WR is a bit... weird, because of the HIGH HTT

    400+ mhz - wth!
