the stuck temp is not abit's fault...that lies strictly with Intel with poor quality DTS sensors....i had the exact same problem on my 1st QX9650...core one was stuck at either 51C or 54C...it would register above that when i prime 95 the cores with a high overclock...at stock speed, it didn't budge!
I could live with one core temp not being reported, however this is the main temp of the chip, hmm, I wonder where I stand for an exchange as techincally the chip is flawed....
