On a serious note (relatively speaking) those pesky nails are sometimes the things that can make annoying noise from vibration. Most of the time they're wedged in real good but on occasion, they're loose and can sometimes drive you crazy(er).
I agree. The trapped stem actually is what helps "wedge" them..so drilling is a no no.

I like the Temjin TJ09 because it does not use any rivets and you can take it down to the extruded shell in short order. Even nice cases like this are pretty much antiquated in their construction...Tab A Slot B, Rivet, Detent...nicely done to be sure...it's not a Rosewill...but I like captive nuts in heavy gauge metal and machine screws if you are going to get all anal about it

Every case has it's strong points and for the Cosmos I think it's the bottom to top airflow on the technical side and aesthetically it's the heavy, sound-dampened side panels on gaskets in sculptured curvaceous trims that hide a very rectilinear and standard chassis. I mean the chassis is fairly heavy where it needs to be and there is a lot of thought about making it rigid and vibration free....

Tomorrow I will be left to me own most of the day so I should have no excuses and expect to get enough of the case together to see what some custom cylinder reservoirs up top would look like. I am thinking "Missile Launcher"
