maximus xtreme, yeah, all rog boards i ever used were a bit picky and not easy and predictable to tweak. i looooove the REAL asus boards tho

Ive heard of many people having problems getting 2x2gb 1600 777 kits stable... it seems its not plug and play for all people...
If thats really the case then i dont think it makes a big difference what mfg you buy your kit from, you might just have to try several kits to find one that works well on your board. with ddr3 there are some weird compatibility issues, some kits work great on one board and suck on another one...
id say give ocz a chance to fix this, im sure they will
if the rma kit still doesnt work, go and sell the kit or return it to the shop and try another kit...
