I do not usually hype over video games, and the only time I play Grand Theft Auto is when I go to my friends house and he enters the cheat codes and we slap prostitutes.
But, now, this game is supposedly the perfect game.
Console tormenting is possible, but it involves voiding warranties on the console itself, and it is usually a more difficult process.
I think the only way to stop anti-piracy is online distribution.
Bandwidth hell, yes.
But, I dream that ISPs today will be a thing of the past soon, and we will be able to download 1gb/s before 2010. :p
Imagine the difference.
No game stores.
No way to lose the disc.
No camping out for the release of a game.
I think the joy of console gaming is plug it in and go.
PC gaming (for me at least) always has something with networking to do, and you can rarely find a "good game" where no one leaves, the connection is good, and it doesn't take forever to get a game started in terms of multiplayer.
I can't wait to see how many copies Rockstar sells for consoles.

GTA IV (actually, its the 10th game, and 6th nonexpansion/spinoff in the series, but nvm) is what I expected gta3 to be.
its driving is more realistic, short load times, go inside many places, euphoria ragdall engine is pretty neat, and the graphics aren't abysmal (they're still pretty bad though)
but it's better than any of the other (3D) gta games, if you at all liked any of the 3d gtas, you certainly would like gta4
I really hope a PC version comes out because the framerate ison the 360.

But some good news...
Polish site "games-online" has contacted Oscar Gonzales - employee of that Swiss(?) store and he said "The release date isn`t final yet but the game should be released in late 2008 or early 2009"... and he assure that GTA4 for the PC on their site is correct... we will see

They dont need to sit there and develop games for every hardware, they just develop it for DIRECTX, not that hard....its the hardware manufacturer to provide driver updates for compatability.....everyone makes it sound like its impossible to make a game for the PC, they just need an excuse, thats all.....nothing is hard if you know what you are doing, if making PC games are hard for the developer, they need to change employees......its the same concept all around.
Well guys, I sat and watched my roommate play this game for about an hour today. I have to say, it looks pretty good for a PS3 game.
BUT, the framerate dips and some not so smooth driving sequences really take away from the game. They better put this on PC, because with 60fps, this game would be really sweet. Between 10 and 20 just doesn't do this game justice on the PS3
Yeah when you drive very very fast, it's like you have a fps drop :s
PS3 have a lot of power normaly :s

Yeah 256x256 is not going to cut it even if half is XDR. Or the pissant 512mb on the Xbox 360 either.
PC please.
But the memory bandwith of the ps3 is very big or not?

Assume nothing; Question everything
I'm playing Hitman 2: Silent Assassin right now, which is comparable in graphics to the GTA's on original Xbox. I dig every minute I play.
For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.

Someone said you cant play on steam severs, well not ture speaking of i was just play some crack CSS,
As for the xbox360 i'll get one but not now, waiting untill they become dirt cheap then i'll mod and install a 1tb harddrive for games, cause i sure did miss out on some good games like PGR3 and Halo3. "that's if xbox360 emulator doesn't arrive by then" not too sure about PS3 its a bit of disappointment with them cause barely any decent games and no social networking like LIVE, with home not even set to arrive until late 08, those guys got some serious catching up to do, Microsoft really knew what they were doing when it came on to online multi for the 360, they have the PC users to thank for that.
