Methinks I'm crippled with a Q6600 that doesnt want to go above 430MHz, it was similar on my Maximus Formula too. I guess 2 boards maxing out at 430MHz, OCCT stable are trying to tell me something.

On a happier side note; I can run OCCT all day long at 8 x 430 with none of the temps in SG hitting 50deg.

Time to see how tight I can set my memory to & up the multiplier to 9x.

I wonder if I'd see any big increase if I treat myself to a Q9450? Thoughts anybody? (Yes I know full well that YMMV )

@ aerie: I've found the guys on this forum very helpful, more than any other forum I browse. What I do find though, is to give as much infomation as you can about your current settings & hardware; that way those that have more experience with the board can offer informed advice. There are a few BIOS templates in the last couple of pages that you could copy / paste, print out & fill in the relevent.
