    the HT rate/multi setting gave the clue, since NB must be >= then HT.
    I figured adjusting the HT ratio/multy will make the board adjust the NB as well or
    it will never boot to windows, or even post..

    Oh, also I think (this one I am not 100%) the ganged/unganged setting is messed up:there are 2 options there but both give me unganged
    I am using this 2x2048 Balistix kit, that I just picked up..
    CPUz,Everest and AOD all show NB @ 2200 (multi of 11 in bios for HT)

    The HT stays @ 1800 on the boot up, but is changeable with AOD
