is any one using 2 x 1gb kingston hyperx 1066 with a p5e ?
i could only find 1 reply in this thread but had 4 sticks i cant get 2 sticks to run at stock settings but i have tested them with a p5k-e and get no errors again at stock settings so happy the ram is ok.

are there any programs to read all the ram timings on the p5k-e so i can compare them to the p5e.

I cant even get to bios, its just dosnt post, its just restarts and shuts off, restarts shuts off,can anything be done to save it?

DJBUDDY, have you tried removing your battery and re-setting BIOS per the manual?

manieg, I found the RF0219 to be as stable as the P5E0107 with some Corsair XMS, I've also tried the RF0308 but didn't really stress it, so can not say much about how stable, it ran all the 3dmarks 01, 03, 05, 06 and M-Pi without problems.

yea tried, removing the battery and switchin the cmos switch and still no post just restart looping, im just gona rma the board, anybody know how long does it take to rma a board thru asus, cause i need tat pc asap, is it even possible to pay asus few extra bucks so they can send me a diff board?

yep its dead, tried everything, swaped parts n no go, just send to asus thru ups, asus is supposed to recieve on monday, and 10 biz days to fix it, plus delivery time, but i had to pay for shipping which cost me $35 with $300 warranty, so if they damage it i get money for a new board, which me good luck guys so tat i get it back quickly and tat it runs like new once again!!!

the memset helped a lot i have the ram down to a few errors each pass of memtest #5 but still not correct. after much searching it looks like there are serious problems with p5e running ddr2 1066 modules not just kingston. I am sure it's going to be some timing so going to keep tweaking and will report back when i have some results.

I can hear buzzing sound from the CPU, PWM are when I prime or stress my rig. Is it normal or my P5E is broken?

Can anyone please help me figure out where to measure Vcore, and Vnb on my P5E?

I know where to measure Vdimm, but I haven't been able to find out where to measure any other voltages. Vcore, Vnb, and any other measurement points would be greatly appreciated.

Question to all P5E board owners. Will the board emits buzz/electrical noise from the CPU/PWM area when the CPU is under full load? I notice my board would produce such sound when priming.

Hey guys,

Went from a P5E/Q6600 to a Striker II Formula back to a P5E/QX9650 (was impatient couldn't get the X48 Rampage and was boardless).

But the temps of the CPU are nuts and different in every monitor (sucks that I can't read out the SN/NB temps).

I RMA'ed my P5E and got a new one this week.

It has no problems what so ever. Haven't clocked on this one tough.
Old one tended to crash under load/gaming with an VGA card in the top PCI-E 16x slot :X

Could you share your BIOS version and settings? I'm having issues running 8GB above 1030 on my P5E where I could do 1066 stable on P35 and up to 1150 for benching.
