    Asus P5E3 Premium Wi-fi-AP

I got this board on friday but i had to travel today i installed windows and started playing with it.

Any one else has this board? AFAIK is the only X48 from Asus with support for DDR3 2000Hz, with 3 Power Phases for the memory

2 Phase chipset regulation + Clockgen

    3 Phase Memory Regulation

Old School jumper Overclock (Gets you more Volts)

    Blue SB

    DDR3 2000MHz 1.8v really easy

If anyone can help me get a SetFSB with support for this clockgen would be great

    Will update more soon

    wow, very nice!
strange, so far 2 people told me their premium boards didnt perform very well at all... is this a board asus sent you or did you buy it?
Do you know if its handpicked?
What Vmch are you using for 2ghz?

What voltages do the Jumpers enable?

I am glad someone has now setup a thread specifically for this board. I was going to do it, but you saved me the trouble thankyou to Metro. Good luck with your board.

Asus sent it to me, for a CHW review i'm doing the CellShock review first to get a feeling of the board, dont think is cherry picked they only told me if the memory is right the board can do 2100MHz, i think i will get further

This are the Boot settings, all from BIOS

    And the result:

Yeah the board seem really sweet, all of this results are with a 24/7 config, antivirus, wi-fi conection, etc...

yeah according to Sayaa the SPD is not set for this timings, so the bios is setting whatever it wants tomorrow i'll test more hopefully 1100+ if my cpu can go that high fsb wise.

I'll also try to tighten the timings

guys, i'm using this board as well .. well i wonder what's the safe value for cpu pll? coz i've read somewhere that over 1.6v will make ur cpu degrade very fast, or it might even kill the proc.. issit true?

last time i was with gigabyte p35t dq6 so there's no this option..

with the right mem AND the right cpu
for 2200 you need 550fsb, i dont think there are any quads that can do this stable

irenic, im running 1.9v pll voltage for 3 months without any issues.

    Question

I have that board along with an Intel Q9450 w/ 4GB of OCZ3P1800. My issue is this, I can neither boot all 4GBs without having it freeze on me, nor can I slightly OC it [not even to 1600FSB]. I have imaged two different Raptor X drives with Vista 64 and XP 64; switched the RAM into other slots and everything, but the freezing keeps happening. What do you guys think is the issue here? I'm blaming the board, because on top of all that it does not even boot into nor show me the Express Gate feature. I called in an RMA already, but since I'm getting the same board again I would like to get some feddback as what I could be doing wrong. Thanks for your time.

    Hi Guys,
anybody else having problems (or not) with the P5E3 Premium Wifi (Bios 0204) and the ASUS EN9800GX2 Graphics card? I am getting no video signal at all from this card...(standard PCIE cheap graphics is fine!).

I have noticed there are BIOS updates 0401 for the P5E3 Premium (no Wifi) which allege improved VGA compatibility but that is for a "different" board - nothing for the P5E3 Premium Wifi beyond 0204 (anyone running 0401 on a Wifi edition Mobo or know if it is compatible?).

I am at the point of RMAing the graphics card.

    Any suggestions appreciated.

    Regards and Thanks!

I believe 0401 is for both. I flashed mine without any problem. In fact, I haven't seen the the non-Wifi anywhere, does it even exist?

Thanks both - already tried expressgate disabled to no avail!

Flashed 0401 and no change - still no video signal!

    Looks like an RMA!

You have to connect to the DVI I/O nš1. On my Asus GX2 it's the one next to the HDMI I/O, if i connect to the DVI I/O nš2 there's no video signal when i startup the system.

Thanks JohnMike - unfortunately already tried both to no avail! Either an MB incompatibility or a GFX card issue I fear! I am RMAing the GFX card now and will see what transpires!

If anyone else has P5E3 Premium and ASUS EN9800GX2 - I'd appreciate their experiences....Thanks!

I have this motherboard, but i have a problem. Everytime i save settings like voltage or timmings and exit from the BIOS for restart, it just turns off and then after like 2 seconds it turns on again, is this normal?
