Ouch... so do you have (yet) an X3350 or Q9450? (or have you ordered any?)

Well, it's a new board, too, so I don't think I can get lucky with a board... AND CPU at the same time? :p Actually, this board has a larger vdroop compared to the other one, so I think my previous one was the real gem.
Anyway, I'm really sorry about what you had to go through... with moogr.com and all that.
Which reminds me, Microcenter has some now for $349.99, and Newegg has the X3350 in stock as well, I think.

Yeah, that guy over at moogr.com is a real trickster...changing his review over at resellerrating everyday trying to get new angles on the matter. A bad apple that one, that's for sure. His problem is that I won't go away, many people give up on things like this...I just dig in deeper. Call it my contribution to mankind if you wish..![]()
Yup, I am aware of the stock at the Egg...waiting for some money to come through from PayPal before I have the funds to jump on that one. I guess they will be OOS then..![]()

Aww... I don't think so.But FYI, I think... some specific boards work better with this chip than others.

Haha...And I just found out something really shocking... 500 FSB is possible... but maybe with 1.7v+ on the northbridge! Seems like it's time to put some ample cooling on the northbridge...

I'm going to give another try on the board in sig, I've seen good results on it with a QX9650 so I know it's capable.
If no success again I will grab me a ASUS P5E-VM HDMI and se what gives.
I need to stay on mATX so choices are limited.
Why did you buy a new board btw?

I sold my old rig... the entire thing. But in the end, I think I get a kind of better board.Huge vdroop (might require a mod to terminate) but that's not a problem, since I don't need that much vCore for this CPU. But the northbridge options in the BIOS default to a higher voltage... so the highest goes at exactly 1.732v, which is the bare minimum of 4GHz.
