I would have gotten the G-Skill myself but OCZ has been really good to me and they work very closely with D.F.I .inc and you cant beat the Personable Service you get from Tony , Ryder , Andy and the rest of the fellas who else will calibrate special SPD files for ya and Modded Bios

If the egg had OCZ in stock... I'd have bought it. ESPECIALLY after seeing Tony working his butt off on this forum.

But I'm the type of person... I'll wait patiently for months with no problem... but when I decide that it's time to upgrade... I want it LAST WEDNESDAY!

Tony will be directly Recommending that OCZ put out a special AM2+/Phenom Overclocking Ram more than likely very high density IC'S so you will get you're chance in a little bit Keith

I am currently on the 1/30/08 Official because it seemed the most stable for me ATM but keep in mind most of my initial Hoopla with the Bios was figuring out why the 1066 Divider did not work with this Ram on this OCZ FLEX PC29200 which I got figured out and its all SPD related on these sticks anyway

Currently I am on a SPD File from the Reaper PC29200 and it works well but I will actually be ordering the 2X2GB OCZ Reaper PC28500 Kit so I can see whats up with those 2x2gb Kit and get under way with a Valid list started for 2X2GB Ram Kits that work well and Boot @ 1066 Divider on this board I am also going to be testing Tony's Modified SPD with them as well so I can give him some feedback on how thats working too

Will be getting my Phenom 9850 Black Edition in a couple of days I should have waited on getting the Current Phenom I have because I really need to be on the B3 Rev because thats what anybody and everybody will be on and its kind of hard to cross reference with others when you have a B2 and they have B3 different (Naughty Monkey) All together

But so Far for the Bios that are available......

1/30/2008 Official....Not perfect but stable (have not explored fully with Phenom)

3/07/2008 Official.....Ummmmm.....Little nervous about using that one as it could have been responsible for corrupting my bios chip in Beta stage

3/12/2008 Beta.....Really enjoyed this Beta release with my 6400+ BE but was acting a little funky with Phenom// Will test again with B3

3/31/2008 Beta....Stay away from this Release it has major problems!

As I have mentioned my conclusion at this moment on any given Bios Release Official or Beta is inconclusive at this point in time for a number of reasons and would not fair to definitively say Good or Bad at this point for any particular Release Due to the Ram Booting @ 1066 Divider / SPD issue and also not being up to speed on the whole Phenom deal yet

Be patient guys I am working on it and Tony is onboard again so its gonna get better by a long shot now that B3 Rev is out

I was referring to AMD Phenom 9850 Black Edition ~ For Bios Testing ~

I tough you already have it, but thanks for the feedback, I'm on 3/07/2008, I'm also learning DFI/Phenom OC, and getting happier every they.

    Ah that explains it.

Someone said: "Hey let's see how high we can get these CPU's" (meaning clock speed)

Glad I canceled my online order and picked the cpu up in a shop, i'm too old for that type of delivery stress.

Well, didn't run any stress test, but is much better now, all my previous MSI/ASUS tests/bench's was done with an LC-Power 480W Scorpio PSU, did fine, stable 2800 in both boards, when changed to DFI had problems running 2750, was Prime stable, but random BSOD's.
Today I changed to an LC-Power 850W Arkangel the one in my Sig, i could boot 2800 255HTT/x9HT/x9NB, no random BSOD's did some benchs, all seams OK, will do some Prime later.

I know..., but I don't want to miss some fun with the 9850, and my oldest son will have some fun with 9500 too.

vdimm isn't processed via the IMC on any of the A64s, the timings are handled but the memory is powered directly, just like any other platform. Can you prove the vdimm power being supplied is directed thought he IMC on the X2 and/or Phenom

Hmm, I still have an 850W Zalman PSU here, that did not help on the M3A with the 9500. Looking at the amps it supports the 12V rails all have a max at 18A. As does my GBT Odin. Thank you for the link will read the specs now.

After few days of testing the cpu does not look as robust as on the first impression. I'll be more that happy when i get ~3GHz stable here, but i guess i'll settle around 2.8GHz at 1.3125V for 24/7 usage.
