Hopefully prices will go down to $200 or less....

$250 is way too much to pay for a 9850 IMO. I can't justify it when I can get a Q6600 for $199.

Eh, thats not that bad. I'd really like to have a 45nm quad, which is why I'm also considering an Intel build right now. The 9850 looks very promising though. I wonder if it would work with my Abit board.

    Jubilation!

    Bought and now SHIPPED.

    (So they say.)

I was kind of bummed; I ordered from Newegg on friday as soon as it was available. Due to that timing I kind of figured it wouldn't get shipped until monday and I'd get it Tuesday. (Since UPS doesn't deliver on saturday.)

Well apparently UPS does PICK up on saturday... especially for larger clients. (When I hit "order" it did say they'd try to ship on saturday 4/5... but I figured that was just the standard computer message.)

All day yesterday... my order status stayed at #3 ("your order will soon be processed.") Today: Status = #5. ("Shipped.")

JUBILATION. Although I don't have the official tracking number yet.

But there is a chance I could possibly get my stuff TOMORROW. Jubilation AND A-men.

(Where was that from... "Jubilation"... I think maybe a character in the game Baldur's Gate? Or was it Neverwinter Nights?)

Anyway it'll be AMD day all over the place.

(Yes the baby blue.) I have no idea yet about 1066. I'll keep you posted. Some people seem to have great luck with these... but the main post I read was a K8 and overclocking. (This thread?) Nothing concrete yet about 1066. I might be in for a world of pain. (I would have got OCZ but Newegg was out.)

They were the best for the least money on Newegg. The step down was Patriot... which is borderline "okay". I've had their stuff before... runs ok at stock.

I wanted a bit more so I thought I'd try "Great Skill at Memory". What a name. :-)

Anyway... if only UPS delivered on sunday. <sigh>

Odd. I tried that same kit and board combination, and got a C1.
