Hi there. I do not have the exact same board, but cooling the NB really did the trick in my case. I clocked the e8400 to 4,5 Ghz stable, but to be honest, the voltage I had to put in the cpu for that was too hight for a 45nm cpu to live longer than a few game sessions (about 1.525...). So if I were you, I'd get a decent NB cooling (or build one myself out of a CPU cooler) and then rise the NB voltage to the max, or, as I do not know your bios, to +0.25 for starters (I give'im +0.30), and do the same to the MHC voltage. In the end I would wonder what for exactly I needed 4.5 Ghz...but anyway. I see you have 3870'ers in CF too, and with the sig below, believe me, you're able to play the most demanding games of today with >35 fps. So...be gentle with that poor little bugger![]()
