Hi I'm unsure of international shipping & tax policies to your country. You would have to contact the store.

Here are 2 sites that have Mobi in stock in the USA:

    http://www.dvnation.com/nand-flash-ssd.html

    http://www.neostore.com/

Canada & USA use sales tax, not VAT.

It's a bit different and it the amount charged varies by state or province.

In California, state tax is 7.25%, but local tax can increase that amount by a bit more.

The raptor should have been faster in most of those tests than the Samsung. (burst speed really isn't the end all in most situations)

not really actually - the samsung has perpendicular recording tech - so it'll have (& always has had) slightly better MB/s.. but its still behind when it comes to access times

i guess it depends on how much u've spent on fast storage in the past

my i-ram + 4GB ram cost me ~AUD$400.. a Mtron 16GB from ebay will set me back ~AUD$420.. almost same as i-ram, but with 4x capacity (& almost exact same performance)! very tempting

F.E.A.R. I noticed in another thread you orderd one (or more) OCZ 2.5" SATA II SSD (http://geizhals.at/deutschland/a322501.html). Have you recieved it? Please give a brief review when you do. I am very close to order one from K&M Elektronik (they ship to Denmark as well) but I would love to hear your (or someone else) first hand impressions first.

    Thanks a lot

I'll say again, if you are just benching (transfer rate) the Samsung is fine. Day to day use, access time makes a world of difference to most folks.

Should have at least tested it on the "general use" test.

At the moment i´m using XP x86 on a 24/7-System. Working with SSD is very smooth. This brings much more performance as the biggest CPU-Upgrade
For normaly using you need only 1 SSD (MTRON Mobi 3000). The boot-time an appslLoading with more than 100MB/s. is not faster (only extracting archives/copying and very complex apps).

The SSD-Community in germany and in france is big. I don´t understand why not in the great USA???

Thanks, please elaborate. Cebit 2008 is over, I know Mtron have a 240/220 MB/s SATAII SSD on the way (you initially leaked the info and I have heard the same by a German Mtron distributer) but do you know more exactly when? (I guess this is the thing to wait for or?).

    I appreciate your info.

Here's my 2GB CF SSD (Sandisk Extreme IV) with appropriate SATA2 adapter. Quite expensive though, 55€ for CF card, another 10€ for the adapter. But is sure fast!

Please share the performance here or PM! I thinking to buy CF card+ adapter, but I don't know real performance! Thanks

    240/180/MB/s. - not 240/220MB/s.
    I heard Q3/2008 (maybe earlier)...

Which distributer do you mean - http://www.winkom.eu/?
Winkom.eu ist the chief agency of MTRON for germany

    I translate this by goggle...

Since October 2007, the company Winkom Alpirsbach in the European general agent for the Korean memory manufacturer MTRON.

The central logistics of WINKOM is in Frascati / Roma Italy.
In addition to the SSD drives, we also sell LCD monitors, Internet TVs, HD-media recorders, touch panels, as well as security solutions for surveillance cameras to monitors.
With its sister company Blue H-Germany is a private label.

    @ tiborrr

    Which accesstimes? (HDtune or HDtach)

Thanks very interesting. Yes it is Winkom.eu. I got the following offer from them:
    MTRON MSD3025-032 € 479,-
    MTRON MSP7035-032 € 659,-

the prices are incl. VAT + shipping (17 Euro to Denmark).
I have not found it cheaper elsewhere and service seems great, I guess you may have better contacts or is that reasonable prices?
I was close to buying the OCZ SATA II but was reminded that it uses MLC flash memory and therefore I am back and few clicks from ordering a Mtron MSD3025-032. I even bought a 790i-based motherboard to avoid the limitations with the Mtron disks with the Intel ICH9R controller.

Many users in our Forum (HWluxx) order their SSDs from Winkom.
Winkom order your SSDs directly from Italy and send them in ~7 days to you

I just got 4 of those adaptors, should be here in about 2 weeks. I need to read some reviews to find 4 cf cards that will suit my needs.

I would like to see your results with a single card.
Got any hdtach or hdtune screen shots?

I ordered one 32GB Mtron Mobi at Winkom, they shipped it friday and I recieved it tuesday. It is working like a charm and the boot time and responsiveness is just There is no detection delay or 80 MB/s speed cap on the 790i chipset (read 104 MB/s) and I just love it.
