    D9mgh? (ocz Sli 8500)

    I have 4GB OCZ SLI Edition ram ( http://www.ocztechnology.com/product...n_dual_channel )

RAMList says D9MGH but they do not at all run as nice as my ballisitx.

Along with that, one kit has black PCB the other green, any difference in IC's on the two kit?

If you just bought the kit in question, it is not D9 anymore. Do not put D9 volts through it.

they will work, just be careful with the ocz reaper and corsair dominator ones due to the large heatsinks there can be space issues with big cpu heatsinks if the ram slots and cup socket are too close.

Thx for the info man. Just to get some info, I am planning to go with Thermalright Ultra e-Xtreme 120 as my cooling choice. So if some one has my board (Asus Maximus SE) with this cooling system, Would the OCZ Reaper and The Corsair Dominator be a problem.

Elpidas are great for sure, and cheap too.

Nullface, can you do a picture from top or bottom of memory, so i can tell either it is old with D9GMH, or new with Elpida.

they are hynix, they do 2.3V, so that rules out qib, eledia and power chips, so that leaves hynix , micron, samsung and infineon. but samsung and infineon dont make standard ddr2 ics and he said no micron so its hynix

Sign an NDA with me and I will tell all

The OP does not have the new chips BTW, the new chips do not like 2.3V, use that much and you will have dead ram.

I do not understand lucky or unlucky..here.

You buy 9600 rated ram, we guarantee it to run 9600 (on a board that will clock ram to this level) why does it matter what is under the hood? Whether it is D9, Hynix, Samsung, or batguano IC's its still rated to run at 9600.

Thermalright makes some miracle stuff. It has bad aerodynamics but it still makes you're parts damn fast

i think that i figured it out the new ones are psc (powerchips) 128meg single sided

atleast there are other kits like that that have the same clocking and a 2.1V max, that 2.1-2.3 rating is deceptive since the kits only have 1 value but i was thinking it did 2.3V

this would since becouse the dominator, high end gskill, teamgroup, and patriot all use powerchips on a 6layer pcb

    Powerchip is indeed very likely.

Ryder, if you're going to reply to this, just don't say "no".
