Thats crazy 600FSB on air![]()
E8500 EO, P5Q............
Could someone point out the batch code of that cpu please?
For the guys getting bad clocks, you might wanna take a look at this:
http://www.tomshardware.com/2007/07/...ack/page2.html
I had this mobo with one of the earliest BIOS versions (and the board itself was an ES), and all I could say about it was "this is the worst board ever". 360MHz FSB stable, and it even thought it had a modem built-in and started asking for telephone line connections.
But if they're good now I'm fine with it, MSI most certainly regretted sending a board to me though.![]()
I KNOW MASSMAN DISLIKES YOU.
Competition ranking: Better than the danes in everything I've ever entered.Originally Posted by saaya
nice result, what vcore was used for 600 FSB?
Nice result but i don't think the board is helping with that, nice because it can reach 600fsb but a lot of boards can do that these day's, Maximum fsb is @ the chip.
So its a nice cpu ...![]()
that is one nasty superpi time
what strap are you on lol something past 400 probably hahah
please use memset and tighten it to make it a bit more respectable
running that FSB is nice and all but it's all CPU >> try a better motherboard and you will shave off 4 minutes easy off that time
Is there any vdrop on core voltages? Or you applied some pencil mods?
i ordered msi p35 platinum today(164 $) i will try +500fsb on e6300
ab9-quadgt@500fsb unstable by air cooling..484fsb rock...
board came and little flirts
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=322378
but no stable i dont pushing too vcore vdim etc..only 15min trying

update...
first say sorry my bad english
p35 platinum ver 1.2 bios:1.8---p04a(600fsb run bios) bios not compatible e6300 (510fsbmax and cpu:dram not corecction)
e6300
asus 450watt
zotac 8800gt
2x1 crucial ballistix tracer led 1066
on this board run a +500sb ram : dual channel goes assymetric and bad superpi why? i dont know you know ? or fix ?
max postable 540fsb but freezing on bios screen, setfsb freezing 535+
anyone help me for higher fsb??? or end the road ?

First of all, you should remove the hardware FSB jumpers to set the FSB strap higher. Im not sure what how you've got it now, but i'm pretty sure it limits your memory bandwith quite a bit. - perhaps the reason behind the crappy sPi times...
Additionally, pushing a bit more voltage into the NB wouldn't hurt either, not to mention the VTT voltage.
After all its worth a try~
In the end, you never know, perhaps thats max the CPU can take.

superpi 1m 15 second before 18 second
pls set multiplier to 6x and try to go higher on fsb
got 1 bord like this around... i go to see what rev. it is.

my psu is asus 450watt @ 535 fsb 12v range is a (see at bios)11v-12v : ) lol maybe i need a more power? cpu 6x multi same max 535fsb
this board price/ performance too high for me : )
my psu(asus a45ga) default support 4pin at 12v1 i make handmade cable 12v2 for a other 4pin connection on motherboard 4+4 8pin look at a pic
before i have ab9-quadgt vcore dont high @ 4pin and max 480fsb when i add cable run @500fsbmy psu some weak maybe too
sorry my bad english
