I forgot to say that I also did Prime Blend-Test over night. Together with Memtest2.01 (today 2passes, ~50minutes), OCCT Ram for over 8hours and gaming 2hours it`s enough for me to say system is stable.
I don`t need any other programs for myself to feel that system is stable
I tested 515x7 for OC yesterday and I also made this little comparison to 450x8.
All tested with:

Yes, I am using AFU236U.exe, and I have flashed to RF 219 successullysomething surprised me.
The problem is AFU236U just won't work in PC-DOS of Ghost 2003 bootable rescue disk which I created years ago. By changing to genuine MS-DOS from Win98, bingo!
[timko] and kup, thanks for your reply.

Ok now, I joined the Maximus Rampage Club as of now. I have set it to the same values as with the Maximus 0505 BIOS and so far there is no performance gain or hit. So far so good. I wonder if I get to run the box stable now, because with all Maximus BIOSes I've had random reboots (for example running 3 days on dual FAH SMP and then reboot) on settings that would do Prime and OCCT Ram all day and night. Did anyone experience something similar and if so, how did you get rid of this? This is really starting to bother me.![]()

Note: lowering cpu mhz lowers also everest latency/memory bandwidth.

I think my Corsair Dominators are dying a slow death on me. Starting to get DET RAM errors when running under stock speeds, and even some IRQL_LESS_THAN bluescreens.
Might have to fill out and RMA. Here's hoping I can get the RAM shipped to me first.
Try this and doesn't help. Any more ideas?pull the chip for a few mins with power removed ofcourse

According to my table you are indeed at PL = 9
with strap 333@CAS5@1:1@Disabled/Level 1
but it is strange that you have better bandwidth/latency,
i did not expect that since you are on the same strap, lower memory mhz.
PL=8 is possible there with more vmch.

test the dimms at stock speed using memtest if you have not done it yet, this board gives alot of det dram hangs, irq error is more than likely NB volts
Yes, I will test on but I am at 1,39VNB and don`t want to go much higher because of passiv aircooling NB with stockcoolers from the board(non-SE).
515x7 1030ram is also ~30points better in 3DM06 but ~3000points worse in AM3 than 450x8 1080ram.
Big problem is, that 515x8 1030 Relax0 isn`t booting, but 450x8 1080Relax0 is stable!?
Put a big fan on the nb and ram, 120mm. I got to 540fsb with the non-se with stock heatsink and 1.7Vnb with the nb temp still below 40C.

Oh, dude! That's so cool! The first thing I noticed was loss of NB/SB temps. Is the latest version posted on the Everest forum? It's so hard to find their beta builds. I'd appreciate a linky.
Grnfinger, thanks a lot for pointing me in the direction of 0219. It took a while to find it, but I'm straight now.
Has anyone been able to tighten any of the FSB channel phases? I can POST with channel 2 in, but no OS. Any of the others give me no POST.
So far, I've squeezed some modest gains out:

I asked already in the Maximus Rampage Mod thread, but since this problem might be connected to the board itself I figured i might ask in here too.
Is or was anyone experiencing random reboots after several days running with settings that are at least 15 hours Prime and 8 hours OCCT RAM stable? At least I am and I'm wondering how to solve this..
There is no more space in my case for a normal fan 80-120mm. Perhaps I will order Antec Spot Cool in future.
Here is where I am. Over night it passed Prime Custom Test "In-Place-FFTs" for over 10h and 2 passes Memtest without errors. Now I am testing Prime Blend Test and if it will be stable, I will try 533x7, but for the beginning:

Has anyone noticed that the chipset drivers for the Maximus Formula and the Rampage are the same
8.3.0.1013
Has anyone noticed that the X48 is just a higher binned result of the X38 and as such, the chipset is the same product with a higher stabiliy testing algorithm.![]()
Actually, for Intel to use such a nomenclature proves their disregard for Integer version vs Decimal version standards. Just as Nvidia has also done with their 680i --> 780i --> 790i
Go figure![]()

It seems that i and some others are getting the problem of fans spinning but no beep or post screen. My lcd poster does not light up or say anything and i have tried bios 0907 1004 and the rampage bios and still the same problem. After doing the cmos clear and battery removal for 20 min i still get it. The only way to boot up normal is to remove the power lead and plug it back in and it will boot fine and allow me to use windows and also reboot from windows and back. But when powered of for 20 mins or so the fans spinning and no beep or post screen is back......![]()
DO I NEED TO RMA THIS MOBO!!!!!!!!
All parts worked fine in my P5K and i have removed ram and tried another cpu and checked all my leads in the case.
Ive just looked on the rampage formula forum at asus and peolpe are getting the same problem so it just shows that its the same mobo as the maximus ...
