Not sure why Moogr doesnt ship the processor with the "Void if Removed" warranty sticker on their X3350 boxes...

That's because it's an OEM chip... in a retail box. I think that's the best way I can put it right now. I mean... they can't just ship a chip, right? So they put it into a retail box...

Anyway, I think as long as the chip runs, I think it'll be fine.

funny thing is, mine was on back order and supposed to be here on April 1, well off from back order that is on April 1st.

So I was curious to know what they shipped out to me then today via UPS...

turns out it was a retail boxed X3350 .... lol... and i ordered an OEM X3350.

Is it just me or is there someone from Moogr watching these forums lol ? If so, thank you for the free upgrade to the retail boxed processor.

I only have one small concern, since this is now my second X3350 chip I have purchased, I am wondering why the "Void if removed" sticker is missing from the retail box sent to me by Moogr?

The same chip I purchased from NCIXUS had arrived with this sticker clearly on the box next to the area where you can open up the blue intel box.

Whats even more odd is that the chip I recieved from Moogr is of the same MM#, PROD CODE, S-SPEC, FPO/BATCH, UPC AND EAN, as well as PACK DATE and Version.

Some of these I already know are supposed to be the same like S-SPEC, but if its an almost near identical chip, then what gives with the "Void if Removed" sticker/seal ??? where is it????

Ill post some pictures for you guys to see what I mean.
    Oh?

That sounds a bit odd indeed.
I really hope I'm not getting an open box or seals missing, totally unacceptable if you ask me.
Let's hope they have shipped it in a box just to protect the chip, or that you actually was given a retail chip instead...but then a broken seal is still not ok...hmm.

I have mailed back and forth a few times and they have except from yesterday answered promptly within 15min or so, so I have until now have no doubts about them.

However, my last mail regarding confirmation of whereabouts of my chip has still been unanswered since yestersday morning...still wating for that one.

Anyway, fire that baby up and let's see if you can do that magical 500x8!!

no no guys I did get a retail boxed up chip... just like the ones you would see at any other vendor (ie. tank guys, ncix, newegg, lagoom, etc.)... its just I ordered the OEM which was about $15 or $20 cheaper and I received a retail boxed up chip instead... Im happy for that... I just dont know why the box does not have the warranty sticker on it like the one that came from NCIXUS had.....

ofcourse the last time I bought an OEM chip was back in 1996 lol... so things may have changed in the world of OEM CPUs since then hehe.... but I didnt think they shipped OEM chips inside the actual retail box now minus the warranty sticker ???

Ahh, now I see what you mean. Not the Intel seal of the box, but the extra sticker on the box itself. Well, I think that is depending on what market it was intended for...there is a spot market for these things as well so a box that is intended for another market (Asia for ex.) can find it's way to US.

If the Intel seal still was intact I would not worry at all.

ah yes bingo.... I think that is the reason why the warranty sticker is missing...

but then does that mean only users in the US get warranty service from Intel

note again that the package date of both chips was the same!

The warranty procedure can differ quite a lot on diff markets, but I think these days Intel are giving out same warranty globally.

Package date can be the same, we know they have been hold gloablly for some time now...so there will be "waves" of them coming out simultainiously around the globe. I would guess they mark packagedate once they have gotten a set date for dispatch.

...but now I'm really speculating here

Nuff blabbing, give us results ...do I hear 4GHz +?

    Well, Q9450's are in stock.

I guess they are just not so preferred... because of what happened with E3110 and E8400?

3.80GHz stable at 1.32v for me. Don't know about others, though. I'm getting "I can't take it beyond 460 FSB" kinda... too often now, so I'm starting to think I got a golden chip or something.

    Regarding my shipment;

I emailed them last friday morning and saturday as well regarding status...no answer and dead silent....zip zero nada.

I really hope they are not giving me the "silent treatment" due to that they have already sold the chip or something, last thursday they stated to have a dozen newly arrived boxes and one with "your name on it".

Oh noe... not the silent game! I really don't like it... especially when I order something with next-day air shipping!
It all turned out okay in the end, though. Guess you just gotta be patient.

490 with a quad. Or actually, more specifically this quad. Most people seem to be hitting walls at 470 to 480 something...

Ok, regarding my order from moogr.com:

I ordered a X3350 on the 26th of march, after mail where I asked on ETA I got answer on the 27th stating "We got a dozen of the x3350's in today and one of them has your name on it".

Ok, fine...after waiting until today still no CPU on the way...pure BS from their side.
So order is cancelled after request from me to do so, for some reason I wasn't allowed to cancel it myself...how about that?

I would not trust them, initially very fast respons on email...after order is laid not much happen and no answer on email for days.

I will put up a review on every possible site...

Please give hints on where to give customer review, like resellerratings and such..
