Try not using Optimized Defaults. Clear the BIOS and manually change whatever settings you need to. Set your primary timings 5-5-5-15. Set tRRD and tRTP to 4. Set PL to 9 and enable all 10 phase delays.Leave all other timings on auto. Work you way up to 500 FSB. When you get to 490 FSB or so go up in 5MHz steps. If doing this gets you further check the timings in MemSet.

I tried and tried with no luck.

I'll just hold my breath until RGone sends me the OCZ ram.

So you didn't find the 'chassis enclosure' got too close to the DIMM retention clips? It looks as if it is going to come very close to them and I was worried the back of the enclosure would come into contact with the DIMM clips themselves.

Its close and I mean real close, by a hair it fits by the dimm clips but if you configure your ram alot and take out and in. your going to need to pop the clips out cause they wont open with this card in there......

Some 9200 - that is when "Cutie Pie" gets off his lawn mower. BTW - you need to redo that link. I'm not much interested in Las Vegas nightspots at the moment.

What Vagas nightspots ? The link works fine, takes you to my 4.6ghz DFI Club OCDB entry, using Ballistix.

How high is average FSB on this board?
I have currently MSI P35 Neo2-FIR and this board do FSB about 520 (stable). This is too low for my E8400, which can do more then 540MHz.
I'm looking for a very good board (FSB and no Cold Bug (cold boot) in sub zero), is this DFI proper?

Thank you for the participation I will give them a go. I have no idea why it will run balls out at 5/6 and them crash and burn at 1/1

one of you told me that the dk p35 is supposed to recognize the e3110 or e8400, but i've read around and i notice that a bios update is needed before it can read either one..

is this true or does it depend on when you've bought the mobo?

I planning on buying a DK P35 and an E3110 or E8400 next week

DK has 4 analog phases
LP LT/UT 8 digital phase

DK have droop about 0,03V vs. 0,01V in LT/UT

GTL's in DK are not fully split (as i remember)

And YES, DK support 45nm

dk p35 @ ~ $135 is really good .. paired with like 4 gigs of memory , an E8400 or Xeon E3110..

I have a DFI INF (Bloodiron) P35 with a 4 phase PWM & the DFI LP P35 with the 8 phase PWM & for me the difference in benching is really nothing as both boards can prime a Q6600 well over 4GHz.

The problem is the Blood Iron's PWM is stressed past the max & runs hotter than the sun on a sunny day running maybe 60 ~ 70oC cooled with 2 90mm 75 CFM Panaflow fans on full tilt compared to the LP that runs 40 ~ 50oC with just a slow average speed & CFM 60mm fan in a case!!!

Dual core is different both boards only really need air movement to keep there PWM's happy enough.

I would say it all boils down to what you want to run (dual/quad) at what speed & how quietly you want to do it.

The P35 DK is slightly better with PWM load temps compared to the Blood iron as it at least has some heatsinks fitted but my basic point is the same regardless.
