price is tempting enough to get a second xeon chip now BUT, i never heard of moogr ???

    EDIT:

Here is what I found on their site:

You can be sure that at Moogr.com all your personal information is kept secured. We protect the security of your information during transmission by using latest 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption software. All your sensitive data and transactions are highly protected.
Sounds pretty lax and inadequate compared to all the other stores online that have this chip....

Upon further research, I found this
    http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=775803

that being said, I would be weary of shopping with Moogr although you could try what one guy did and use google checkout + visa instead of the regular checkout, however you would loose the coupon that way...

Okay well I could not resist the pricing esp. since I could use another chip for my home office workstation PC

If everything goes as I expect it to then I will post back feedback here for you all.

I know this is a stupid question, but I know nothing about servers, xenons, etc.

Since the 3350 is the same as a 9450 and both are lga775, can I drop the 3350 into normal atx/775 socket mobo or do you need some special-secret kung-fu for Xenons?

I'm asking because I wanted a 9450 but none are to be found and the Xenons are out there now and people are starting to look at me because I'm drooling all the time.

    thanks.

as long as the bios supports 45nm cpus the answer is yes, you can just drop it in.

You should be able to... although depending on the board, you may or may not need a bios update for the board to recognize the CPU name, etc.

HAHAHAHA I love it: Was $361, now only $360.67 Hehe
Boy that info was old. As am I. Currently my kids have taken over my desktops. They are both sporting matching GTX1080's. Last Christmas I got everyone Oculuses and thus GTX1080's. My eldest is some sort of CSGO champion gold label something or other. Me I work and shoot real guns. Build Comps as needed.

    sofarfrome,

Did the coupon work for you with paypal and/or google check out??

I tried to use google checkout and then paypal but they wont recognize the coupon so I was forced to pay directly to Moogr.

P.s. the quantity I just noticed is still the same.... I smell a back order?

And by the way, in case you guys haven't been keeping up to date, the chip was validated at 4.00GHz. I think you can still try at tankguys? And actually, Q9450 in stock:

I used a CC so yes, it worked for me. Also I have a tracking number for fedex and it says it will arrive here in NY on 3/27. But it also still says it has left the fedex location on the 3/22. Typically fedex lets you know where an item is from day to day.

Depending on whom you ask it is the Xeon but there are others that believe the Q9450 is better for gaming. I have a lot of experience with 775skt Xeons and they allperform the same as their desktop counterparts. At least I didn't notice any difference.

So you paid directly then.... no google checkout or paypal ?

If so then that is strange because I have not gotten any email or tracking info yet from them... just the order confirmation but the order status has not changed yet... what gives?

P.s. the x3350 is out of stock at the time of this post..

sold my Qx9650 C0 stepping it appear the X3360 (Q9550) chips will do 4.0ghz or very near and a new stepping Qx9650 is comming so the C0 stepping chip are gonna be worthless. I'm gonna use a E3110 for the time being picked one up for 199.00.

How about someone buy one of those babies for me and send it here, I'll parcel back a swedish blonde as a token of gratitude...

I sit here with my Celeron 420 and some dedicated funds towards a quad, but nowhere to buy these suckers...

Does it say your order is shipped? When I was getting my chip from Lagoom, the same thing happened. The shipment tracking number was invalid even after the package was delivered, and I had no idea when I would get the chip then, but the chip showed up the next day anyway.
