You trailblazers have big ones, I'll give you that much.
I'm waiting for more results before I take the plunge.
How's that look? PL7, no pull down. Bios 0219.
Thanks
I was able to tweak abit and have managed to get respectable bandwidth again, but however I would like to run 4-5-5-15 to reduce latency if possible.
Anyways my wife has my camera atm so here is basically my mem settings
5-5-5-15-3-40-6-3
All other settings are AUTO
Dram Static = Auto
Clock Twister = stronger
Trans Booster = Auto
anyone else notice that their north/south bridge temperatures aren't being read properly ?
(ive reinstalled everest already...)
running small fft's, the temps stay at 38C and 29C, regardless of the time prime95 runs...

i have just flashed to the 0907 bios and here goes the stories
1. the second ethernet controller does not work, i have enabled it in the bios, windows device manager sees only the first ethernet controller
2. I have manually set the dimm voltage to 1.8v and the led dimm voltage indicator is now red??
3. Under the power bios option, the CPU PLL voltage is reading 3.20 V in red (i have manually set this to the lowest setting)
4. The dimm voltage is reading 0.0 v in the power menu
5. North bridge voltage is 0.00 V in the power menu (i have 8 gb ram so i set it manually to 1.41v)
6. DDR Reference voltage is aslo reading 0.0V
I did have to increase the vcore to 1.2875 to get my Q6700 stable at 333 x 10 with bios 0907, under 0505 i was able to get away with 1.2750 to get it stable at 3.33Ghz
Should i rma the board for possible defective lan 2 and sensor failure
Kevin
Kevin that sounds like either a duff board or a partial bad flash. Clear the CMOS, flash again, clear the CMOS again and re-input your settings.
i would like to downgrade to the 505 bios....when i tried to do the usb flash method...it said that the bios is older and stops...any techniques to downgrading the bios
Can i bood with my original dvd and try to reflash that way
Kevin
There are two ways to do it, rename 0505 to FORMULA.ROM and load it on a USB stick. Reflash 0907 and turn it off while it's flashing, this will corrupt it. When it boots up it will read FORMULA.ROM from the USB stick and reflash it automatically to 0505.
Or use the method described in the first post.
are you guys experimenting with the sub-timings also?
first of all try giving values through bios..it gives better results in terms of bandwidth..
second try to play with the actual PL not the PL - phases enabled...
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
I just flashed to bios 1003....i has to set all my voltages to auto to get into windows...once there cpu-z is reporting 1.280 v for my cpu...i cannot tell what the bios levels are, because all i get is 0.0v for everything under the POWER hardware monitoring section of the bios...the Vdimm led is still red and enabling LAN 2 has no difference...windows does not see it and plugging in a lan cable into LAN 2 has no activity light...i suspect it is dead
Is there any danger with setting all key voltages to auto

Current Status - Testing & Research
Hi guys...Can you tell me more about how to come back maximus from Rampage ? Step by step plz....Thanks very much...
I'm having a big problem right now. My USB keyboard won't work in the startup anymore so I can't change the BIOS. I've tried using a PS/2 keyboard but that doesn't seem to work in the startup as well. I'm deciding if I should flash my BIOs or not since nothing else seems to be working.
I fixed it. <3 Asus Update
