GeForce 9800GX2 got reviewed and still buggy [Updated with EXP's own review]

Pconline.com just released an review of NVIDIA GeForce 9800GX2(but to me, it is only a quick bench).

There is two things you should keep in mind:

    1. They have to enable SLI via Forceware control panel manually to utilize two G92 cores.

    2. The card didn’t work on X48 mainboard. Yes they can use it on the board but if 3D application starts users will only see a crash notice.

We don’t know both issues are the Driver bugs or hardware problems.

The full article is here in Chinese.

i wonder what settings they used for crysis, if that performance is at max settings than the card might be worth the money

Well does 8800GTS Sli smoke HD3870 crossfire? If not then I guess it could be an accomplishment

Does the GX2 work in triple SLI, er.., HexaSLI (3x GX2)? Cost would be crazy but just wondering for sh-tz and giggles.

I was thinking the exact same thing. We are talking ownage here, the differences are insane in some titles...

What will happen with "proper" drivers??

(Off topic: Just noticed the AKGs on ur avatar, I am currently listening a Deep Purple Orchestral Live on them - great headphones )

Hmm, will this be for nvidia motherboards only? If true, this is going to get interesting.

i would like to see what a better cpu can do a qx6850 with 3ghz isnt enough to load the ati card, but this would also mean that the NV card would have the new controller that dosnt need to go to the NB for gpu to gpu transactions, and the striker 2 might be ocing the gx2 so that would need to be checked also

lol to all the naysayers. If this is right, it's going to smoke the X2.

We need to se prices of the X2 come down so you can get 2 X2 for the price of one GX2. If Ati want's to compete.

Those scores seem crap. 2x 88 GT SLI beats it. And whats up with all those 0 in 4xAA tests. I stand corrected even 9600 GT SLI beats it.

Those scores are due to the game not loading AA probably / driver crash

And the 3dM scores are at 2560x1600..

GX2 is just a bandaid till GT200. And as soon as the GT200 is out, sli support goes down the tubes. Not worth the trouble, imo.
