HAHAHAHAHA
I'm thinking that I have to do something, but consumer grade stuff isn't really doing it for me , I need some multi socket boards. All I need is a business excuse to pull the trigger. I'm working on it![]()

I am sure you have favored vendors for your biz stuff, but just in case you don't, I thought I'd mentiont that I am pretty happy with silicon mechanics. They have a pretty user friendly website and node configurator (with power estimator!) and pretty respectable prices for multi socket machines.
Not trying to be a traitor, but I think I changed the quad back to 62, still doing Dimes for XS though. It's hard, but I think they need the points more then XS, XS is already climbing up something FM hasn't had in a long while ( overtaking 'dead' teams doesn't count ).
Not that they will skyrocket with my low production, but if it's where my hearth lies I should put my hands to work at it to if you know what I mean...
But yeah, I wouldn't mind some advertising in the way you described, doesn't matter which team. I'm hoping they will support their own team though, would make more sence don't you agree![]()

Well there were some really sweet WUs coming through for the single cores... those seem to have stopped though so I'm back on getting about 600PPD out of all the single cores vs that whopping 1400PPD from last week. I knew it wouldn't last long though....
Darn I need another multi-core machine! Would love to keep my old opteron crunching away but to afford my upgrade I have to sell itToo bad I can't keep this quadFX setup from my friend too as a cruncher but I have to sell it for him as well.

It's OK Spark q6600 down to 220ish in march. I've been buying a couple basic mobos and RAM waiting for chips. There's more'n one way to skin a cat. Uh, sorry kitty.
April we're going to see some cheaper quads for AMDell as well. hehehehe.

I'm having the hardest time resisting a Q6600 from MicroCenter, only $199. I can get the GA-G31 board for around $70 shipped, $40 for some cheapo RAM... I got an extra HD and power supply.... Arrrrghhhhh so tempting..
cripes I wish they were that cheap here. They just aren't.

Oh well, I tried to get one but not in stock. Dang...
I should just OC my system first, see how far that gets me.... I just haven't had the time to do it.

Nope, never got the new quad. My Q6600 is putting out about 4200ppd and my laptop is around 1000pdd. I haven't rebooted either over the last week so things have been pretty consistant.
But that other quad is still calling my name. I might get access to a 780i MB, and if that pans out I'll pick up another G0.
I'm going to be moving some hardware around, getting rid of my last AMD rig, so my points will drop for a few days. Should be back to full steam by Monday.

Yeah, nice job Barnacle!![]()
I dont have a microcenter around here, so missed out on the $199 deal, but I keep hearing that once the new 45nm quads a broadly available, the prices should fall on the Q66. Then I'll jump on it for my dedicated cruncher.
I might should ask the guys over in the datacenter where I work if they have any old server mobos laying around...
I just got a mobo for my old PD and 2Gb RAM. The mobo supports quads too(8 days till my b-day!).
One of my quads has been down for upgrades and my AMD x2 will down in a few days for upgrades too. I'm looking to push 10k+ PPD.![]()
