RocketFish(rebadged LianLi) Cases!

I just went and picked one up, them promptly turned around to return it! If this was made by Lian Li, their quality has severely dropped.

The issues that I found with this case are;
-Sharp, unfinished edges
-The left door did not fit properly, (after closing and tightening screws), the case twisted so it would not sit level but rocked side to side. I tried every way to get it to level, but as soon as the door was tightened down, the case body twisted.
-Top panel did not fit correctly in the front left side as well.

For the price, it's not a bad deal if you can find a good one.

yeah, im pretty sure it has to do with the way Bestbuy had them packaged/handled. Mine is in pristine condition, but i did see a few beatup looking boxes that im sure wouldnt have been as nice inside.

The odd thing is that were no dings or visible damage to the box of the one I picked out.

unfortunately theres no way i could explain that. I know that many people have been very happy with theirs and the quality of the builds.

yeah but you see that with most any all-aluminum cases... the scratches, the corners being off a bit, etc.

Its like an 8800 ULTRA card. Some will push more speed than others when overclocked on the stock cooler, while some will even be unstable without the proper air-flow in the case/chasis.

yeah, its pretty funny you can see every single time you touch the motherboard tray. I already swapped mine out for a working one.

Thanks sooo much for posting this. I've been shopping for a Lian Li full tower to replace my PC-60. Made a trip to my local BB and found one on the shelf as the OP stated, $71.99 (or whatever the price was). Took it to the front and it scanned for $49!!!!!!

my case arrived.

3 days early might I add.

scheduled for the 10th.
todays the 7th.

it comes in a pretty big box, but its rather light.
it comes fully assembled.
you dont have to do a thing to it, other then take it out of the box.
after close inspection, I see no real defects or anything.
every panel lines up perfectly.
every thing is in place, and is solid.
overall, I cant find anything bad to say about this case at all.

You must have gotten one that got damaged in shipping. Mine is in absolute pristine shape. If there was more than one box I'd suggest going back and trying a different one. I'm sure it was a fluke.

I picked mine up on the way to work, price was $47.99. I'm at work right now but I can post it when I get home tonight I'll post it. Anyone know exactly which lan li this is a copy of?
