    RocketFish(rebadged LianLi) Cases!

This is a re-branded Lian-Li all-aluminum case, with brushed dark finish and front door. I went in today to buy it for $119.99, thinking that was the deal of the century on a Lian-Li. They had put it on clearance for $71.99! I don't know how widespread this deal is, but there are 5 left at the Springfield, MO store.

Link to product at retail price:

    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1183160363476

These can be had ranging from 63.00 to 120.00

I was able to negotiate mine to 90 after talking to the manager and telling him i saw them elsewhere for 73.

Here is the thread that broke the news, with pictures and receipt scans.

Yep and gucci bags are on sale for $4 ea. Looks like the same patter so it must be gucci..ish.

Also you can but"genuine" paul mitchel at sniders.

Now why would they let someone else brand thier cases and sell them cheaper? why?
Boy that info was old. As am I. Currently my kids have taken over my desktops. They are both sporting matching GTX1080's. Last Christmas I got everyone Oculuses and thus GTX1080's. My eldest is some sort of CSGO champion gold label something or other. Me I work and shoot real guns. Build Comps as needed.

Volume sales. Theres no way LianLi can sell as many cases for 300 as they can for 200 and guess what? The reason they are 120 bucks is because nobody was buying them so they are discontinued. LOL their loss is my gain!

Many store brand food items are actually the real brand but re-branded.

Wow. The Hard forum thread leaves no doubt that these are LianLi cases. YMMV since not all BBs have them on clearance yet. Since they show as available at all my local BBs, maybe I'll take a look. Nice case for the water cooling enthusiasts.

Nice. Exactly the same case as the Hardforum pics show? What is the silver square box thing below the rear 120mm fan for? Another exhaust fan?

    Yeah, same case

They call it a patented side fan. Designed to remove heat from high-end graphics cards.

Wonder if you can use this on a clearance item. Guess you wouldn't know until someone tries it.

I am wondering if there is enough room in that case to slap in a small single-stage.. Move the hard-drive cages to the top left corner of the case, cram a condenser above the compressor case with the fan venting the case, and a short suction-line. If only I had a need for a case

Nice I am gonna check my local stores to see if its on clearance. They all show in stock. Good case for modding. I have a few gift cards plus the 10% off should work nicely. I also have a 5$ rewards coupon. Case is good Quality for around 50$

I bought one, had to pay $120. Would it be worth it to try and return it and then rebuy with the coupon or is there a way to price match a coupon and get money back?

Added:, those coupons don't say cases, do they still work though?

If its 120 where you live, ask to speak to the manager and see if you can negotiate a lower price.

Reason why it works is because its discontinued. Just mention that they are selling them for 72 dollars at other locations and dont mention where until they ask and just say somewhere locally. Also, assess how many they have and say that you noticed they have alot of them and they need to get rid of them.

Yeah I think I will try that... cause this is a good case for a video/file server!

heh, are you kidding? This thing is 100% aluminum, its like a giant heatsink for starters.

Not to mention that its got impeccable thermal qualities as well as having overall quality components and assembly for cheaper than any LianLi available.

I just went and picked one up, them promptly turned around to return it! If this was made by Lian Li, their quality has severely dropped.

    The issues that I found with this case are;
    -Sharp, unfinished edges
-The left door did not fit properly, (after closing and tightening screws), the case twisted so it would not sit level but rocked side to side. I tried every way to get it to level, but as soon as the door was tightened down, the case body twisted.
-Top panel did not fit correctly in the front left side as well.

For the price, it's not a bad deal if you can find a good one.
