    FPO / Q740A621, tray version.

    Does 4Ghz with 1.216V.
Has been running Prime Custom for 20 hours at 4100Mhz, 1.248V with WC.
Think I can call it stable.

1.248 for 4.1, ...I can just boot into windows with 1.25 at 4ghz. Does not look like they binned that E8200.

yep, thats why I said it was not binned, VID's that low I have seen more often on E8500, less often on E8400, kind of surprised to see on E8200.

Anyone lap one of these yet? And if so, what were the results?

    I'm curious to know myself...

and how come I haven't seen any E8200s in the US... I would have gotten one of those b/c I don't think I need the x9 multi on E8400s...

I'm going to guess not much at all. I pulled my IHS off and saw almost no change. They do run hot, but the real culprit is Core Temp. Stay tuned for new developments... *winks at unclewebb*

    Gentleman!!! GREAT NEWS!!
Setting GTL levels DOWN just got me over the 3.96ghz spi 32m stability hump!! I'm still at 1.425v and haven't had to change that, and I gained a decent amount!!

I'm not only happy that I gained a few mhz... I'm happy that I figured out WHY this chip couldn't get to 4ghz.

Right now I just passed 4.17ghz spi 32m!!! This GTL level RLY helped!!

I saw C-N's post of setting all three GTL REF settings to 60, so I copied that and viola.
Now, I do have the other GTL buffer strength sset to strong (choice are strong and weak), which is default. Dunno if I should mess with that as I don't know what it does. Maybe if I tweak GTL ref more I'll get an even better OC, but I've no clue what it's truly doing and which plays the more important role.

Here are my settings right now:
    Code:
    CPU VID Control..................... - 1.42500v
CPU VID Special Add................. - Auto
    DRAM Voltage Control................ - 2.19v
    SB 1.05V Voltage.................... - 1.150
    SB Core/CPU PLL Voltage............. - 1.75v
    NB Core Voltage..................... - 1.37v
    CPU VTT Voltage..................... - 1.12v
    Vcore Droop Control................. - Disabled
    Clockgen Voltage Control............ - 3.45v
    GTL+ Buffers Strength............... - Strong
    Host Slew Rate...................... - Weak
GTL REF Voltage Control............. - Enable
    CPU GTL1/3 REF Volt................. - 60
    CPU GTL 0/2 REF Volt................ - 60
North Bridge GTL REF Volt........... - 60
Special thanks to C-N for his post here.

My next concern is why is my idle temp not as low as most other people when I'm on a D-Tek Fuzion with a custom mobo back plate mount and liquid metal TIM...

Sorry I didn't get it while it was on LOAD temp... something came up and couldn't take screenshot in time:

dropping the PLL?? i only raised it up trying to test things out. i probably didn't even need to. can it be HARMFUL to have it raised a notch over stock?

hopefully i'll have time to play more maybe this weekend. almost 4.2ghz is definitely a good start for tonight, plus i have another e8400 sitting on my desk that i wanna throw in VERY SOON, like this weekend!!

I'm going to be extremely busy with worth the next few weeks starting Monday. I work I.T. and the company I work for is sending me to a potentially HUGE client. I'm supposed to represent our company and not that I'm nervous, but I gotta get my sh$% together. The commute and hours are adding approx. 3 hrs to my day!! Which means... less OCing for me.

You don't need that PLL for what you're trying to do. 1.55v is fine.

All of you here have good chips What's impressive is being able to do Orthos with such low volts.

don't forget cooling used and ambient case/room temps also play big part in reported clocks at certain volts

    Thank You

I am using the D-Tek Fuzion with just a 1/8" thick Oring. I chill my water and control it digitally at 50 to 53F. It helps to keep the temps down

Water cooling setup is a Dehumidifier with the Rad dropped in a Rez with about 2 gallons of water in it, as well as my Ehiem 1260 pump. I have a digital controller which is set to turn the dehumid on/off at my specified temps.

The whole setup is about 15' away from my computer,(hence the 1260 pump), in another room,( water lines run behind my Bath Tub and thru the walls) When I built the upstairs addition, I set it up that way with an alcove for the dehumid/res so it is tucked away out of sight.

I run the lines to the Fuzion, then to my MCW60 on my vid card, then back to the Rez, works out pretty slick and I never hear the dehumid at all. Been running this cooling setup for about 4 years now. I could run the water colder very easily, but then I would need to insulate all the lines/blocks etc. Too much of a hassle for how often I change things, so I found that 50 to 53F is a good compromise to no insulation in the actual computer, and No condensation at those temps.

Sorry for the Long winded reply

OK, first off my vid reported by Core Temp is 0.9875v so my Vid special add is +262mv which gives it MY voltage, seems the vid+ the add will be different with different vids.
DRAM volts are set at 2.075v
The rest of the volts are Stock, no changes, tho I am testing 61/61/61 on the GTL's but for all practical purposes, I run them at 67/67/67 which is bios defaults.
Hope that is what you requested
