3v was a no go for my card. I didn't get any screen and a trace on the PCB got on fire. I had to replace the trace with a wire. So don't try 3v
I'm out of the race. I cant get my card working with a decent voltage.

Hell yes its a mini-ITX gaming rig!
3V is no go on my water cooled Asus.. just crashes about 5 seconds in.
All along the watchtower the watchmen watch the eternal return.
awesome post Johny![]()
So the mem cap mods actually hindered your OC on RAM?
Hmmm, might pull mine off tonight then since im not able to do sweetall on my memory.
Guess 3V will be my last run tonight, and for February![]()
That was a nice setup Johnny, esp the memory containers!
What happened with the DI loop?
Cheers man, yeah was hoping that I could get alot more from the memory with some cold, guess not.
The DI loop is currently being put to use on something quite different, stay tuned
Seems so, dunno every card is different - Seems the excessive capacitance was not liked by the Qimonda, either that or they have very strict capacitance guidelines. I unsoldered a ceramic cap in that area too and lost it so popped in another one or reasonably similar capacitance and it knocked off about 20MHz![]()
go for it man
Cheers Dinos your card was looking pretty crazy too
Thanks Andy glad to be of service to the UK bench scene![]()

Oh snap I'm running out of time. Time to swap the 3850's for the 8400GS and make a few complete runs. Completely forgot![]()
Adding caps to memory vrm allowed me to go from 450MHz to 535 WITHOUT increasing volts yet![]()
I have a feeling zakelwe will have lots of work updating the scores this evening
stay tuned for scores

Just finished my first round of volt-mods and booted into Windows at 2.1vgpu and 2.035vmem. Time to start LOD testing, I have 2 hours before I have to start getting ready for a date, this is going to be close![]()
My score with crap memory, whatever volt I fed it it would not go over 450, and that it made at stock volts :- (
