    Copper pin plates

How many people would buy these copper pin plates if i could order a bunch at wholesale? i was thinking $100 per plate, which is pretty good considering the price of copper and the cost savings in trying to machine tiny pins? This would be for the DIY guys who want to take these and come up with there own ideas...you could get at least 4 water blocks out of one of these plates...

the pin plates are 144x122x6.7mm with 3mm high pins that are less than 1mm in diameter, the actual pin field is 92x106mm (about 5000 pins)

Would be good for TEC chillers, coldplate with water, and other side can easily be air cooled.

I could use one or maybe two but pricing seems a little steep. Shoot me a PM if you know more.

Can't you get a better deal.....?

If you get a good idea on pricing, I'd be up for hearing about it. I've been wanting to make my own TEC watter chiller for a while.

lol you know what that thing reminds me of?

when i went to see an accupunturist, he had this stepping thing on the floor. Something simular with lots of little pins and your suposed to step on it gentley so it pushs all the pressure points on your foot.

LoL... sorry for the OT, just had the wierd flash back.

nol you could only fit 4 tec's on that total. 2x2.

So im assuming you would have to weave the water back and forth?

Dude that base plate off the cold plate on a laser platform?

better yet, is that how big a 1kw tec is?
92x106mm i the pin section so the tec would have to be 90x90 or somthing of that size.. man thats ONE BIG TEC.

100 dollars seems reasonable for the whole plate, seeing the work that has to go into it, and all the manufacturers expenses.

    How much does one weigh?

i think the price is more than reasonable if you want a piece of copper with a high density pin pattern.....if you were to try to machine or crosscut pins of this density the price would be about 10x...

these same pin plates were developed to cool 5000 watt high power switching electronics used in power conversion, electric motor drives ect...

    Just my thoughts,

the pins are 3mm and the base they are on is about 3.7 ....so total height is 6.7....

not to bust your chops buddy but you cannot sell things in the general forums. you should read the rules before posting. you need to have access to the for sale forums to sell anything here.

That said they do look like nice plates to make waterblocks from.
