    [WR DDR3] Crucial Value PC8500 "D9GTR" : Cas 5 -> 957MHz et Cas 6 -> 1043MHz

    JMH Team strikes again ! Indeed, after have improved WR DDR2 (here), I tackle myself to DDR3 overclocking !
    So, my friend, Brezodor, lend to me his memory block. By the way, I have could chill memory with my R23 Cascade built by Learn.
    Cold is very advantageous for DDR3 overclocking judging from frequency I have reach.

    - CPU : Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 "Wolfdale"
    - CPU Cooling : RadBox
    - M/B : Asus "ROG" Blitz Extreme
    - M/B Cooling : Stock + Delta 220cfm
    - Bios : 1005, it implies that bad times at SuperPI
    - Memory : 2*1Go de Crucial Value PC8500 "D9GTR"
    - Memory Cooling : Cascade 2 étages (R23) by JP
    - Vcore -> 1,4V / Vnb -> 1,81V / Vsb : 1,150V
    - OS : Windows Server 2003

    Brezodor who set up memory cooling :

    For more news about memory block, I invite you to visit this links : here and here.

    Now, Benchmarks and Max Screen!

    With 2,62V. Bad times but it's not the aim.

    http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=318000
    With 2,72V. Always on 1T.

    And, new WR DDR3 Cas 5 :

    http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=317999
    With 2,72V.

    Then benchmarks in Cas 6, unfortunately Blitz sucks above 1000MHz that's why I have made quickly test in Cas 6. With a better motherboard, I think I can do better.

    http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=318001
    With 2,64V

    With 2,64V

    Thanks to Brezodor for the lend and Crucial for the gift

    Very impressive!

    In my eyes this is a truely impressive result! Wish I was there!
    I love the fact that you dont just go "ohh, we've no1, no point in going further" but keeps pushing, beating current records excessively, using alot of vdimm ofcause...
    I like ya style

    One more positive thing...
    When CAS 6, you keep ras to cas low as well, same with CAS 5.... It makes it alot less well performing by weakening other timings - thereby invain in my oppinion...

    I hope to give you challenge in the future, I belive my sticks "can" do about the same, but sure aint gonna be easy...

    I would have liked put more vdimm but I didn't have enough time. I hope I might do it next time. Why not, near 3V
    I hope you will be my future challenger

    I did some quick test and I reach 755MHz 5-5-5-15 1T 2,2V SuperPI 1M.
    And during a fast MaxScreen, I reach 844 5-5-5-15 1T 2,52V.
