Photo of the Foxconn BlackOps X48 mounted with proper cooling

    Near perfect in my opinion

Fortunately Foxconn engineers understand Shamino drawings

Here is it the 1st bench on cascade (-100ºC evap)

5.700MHz SuperPI easy with 1.90v Vcore

I corrupted bench HD with higher PCIe speed (145Mhz) so 3D numbers only after I reinstall Windows

    Thanks Emanuele and Mark!

Vcore is 1.88V-1.95V. We got new bios today, but after I have done my benches

I'll test this with new bios and water tomorrow.

    UPDATE: Watercooled results

I tested Blackops with water today. I must say, that this is really stable and impressive board with lowend cooling too.

Bios 12. I can't do high fsb at any settings It would help a lot with pi times. I think that it is my cpu. It can't do any better in other mobos. So don't look those Pi times at all

    Setup:
    Foxconn X48 Blackops
QX9650 @ 1.648V real. (orthos screen 1.46V real and max screen 1.68V real)
    G.Skill DDR3 HZ (D9GTR) 800-846MHZ 7-6-6-12 1T
    3870X2 (no drivers installed)
    Thermaltake ToughPower 1200W
Cooling: Swiftech blocks on CPU / VGA. Chipset on stock air.

Water was 8-10c. No insulation, so I couldn't take it lower.

    Max screen: 5100MHz:

    Max SuperPi 1M: 5GHz

    Max SuperPi 4M: 4.95GHz

    Max SuperPi 8M: 4.85GHz

    Max SuperPi 32M: 4.85GHz

    Wprime 32M: 4.8GHz

    Orthos 4.45GHz 1.46V

These were max MHz speed tests. Now I could find some tweaks before i retest this system with LN2 next weekend. This cpu should do 5.7GHz SuperPi easily

Wait, you're still using 02/15 BIOS? There are 02/16. Neither I have had luck clocking ram with good timings over 2Ghz or FSB higher than 530. Also with Vmch over 1.9v and Vdimm over 2.5v in 95% cases this board does not boot at all even at stock clocks.

Just flashed bios 2 (2/16) in. I thought, that I already flashed it yesterday

Well, now the fsb problem is gone

Believe me, if you used to spent months tweaking DFI nF4 board... you can be sure that you will spent years tweaking this and still there would be settings you haven't touched
Todays BIOS increased stability and random postcodes almost disappeared. Haven't got to test this with other memory, but with Kingston D9GTR in white slots it shows single channel, in blue slots - dual. Also hitting 2Ghz+ on memory is almost impossible at dual channel for now.

    FSB testing

    Hi again!

Today I tested some fsb capabilities of this board. I'm more impressed everyday

    Test are done with aircooling!

    Setup:
    Foxconn BlackOPS X48
    QX9650 @ 1.43V- 1.5V
    G.Skill HZ DDR3 2.3V

    Memory timings:
    7-6-6-15 1T (sub timings 6-46-6-15-15. PL6/7) Up to 460MHz fsb (32M superpi stable.)
    7-5-5-15 1T up to 450MHz fsb (32M superpi stable.)

    Voltages selected in bios:
    Vcpu: 1.43V - 1.5V
Vpll: 1.77V (don't know did it need that much)
    Vfsb: 1.425V
    VNB: 1.853V
    VSB: 1.688V
    Vmem: 2.32V

    Max fsb:

    http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=317648

Basic 32M @ 4GHz (Don't know if it is good or not)

    Max fsb 32M (460MHz fsb)

    Nice board for sure
