Yes the bottom image above is Chicago Style "deep dish". Many Chicagoans refer to it as "stuffed" as it's a pie crust-like dough (in terms of shape) stuffed with cheese (and any meats or veggies etc) and covered with sauce. It's awesome. A few places ship them worldwide frozen man! It's about 85% as good as right out of the oven at the restaurant (which is still really good)

Below is another pride of my hometown- the "Chicago-style hot dog". Also known as "garden on a bun". All beef frank with mustard, raw onion, tomato, radioactive-green relish, pickle and (optional) hot peppers. Sprinkled with celery salt and served on a steamed poppy seed bun. Ketchup is strictly verboten! Encased meat heaven folks...

In college in Virginia everybody thought it was weird that I didn't like pizza. I kept telling them I like pizza just fine -- just not that Pizza Hut/Domino's/Papa John's, processed cheese on premade artificial dough crap.

Next time you're in NYC, try a real pie from Grimaldi's, or Lombardi's, or Patsy's. Hell, try any shop on the corner, and it'll be ten times better.

Now that I'm out here in California, I see people pulling into a Taco Bell drive-thru and I want to revoke their license to breed.

Is this a sandwich covered in beef gravy? Looks good.
I will need to go to the Squeeze In. They have the best burger on the west coast! I'll get a double squeeze with cheese and bacon. Before they put the cheese on the burger they burn it on the griddle. The place is soo greasy the grease soaks through the roof and they have a catch bucket on the gutter!!!!!
