okay it's a little chilly in my room right now, 3040mhz. primed for a bit and played some UT3 to make sure this chip is capable of nice things. but with lower temps, obviously.

    10372 3DMarks with 3870 850/1200, got 11k with 180 @ 3.5ghz and 2900XT 850/1070.

i wonder what this chip is gonna be up to at -40°C, whether it's even gonna put up with it.

That chip ain't good, most 185's are MUCH better. What stepping btw? Maybe you have one that doesn't coldbug too badly, even if I think -40c is a little too much coldness anyway.

I think it's a good chip, but very sensitive to temperature. LCB9E 0742CPMW. Quite new, that's why I got it. Afaik 185s generally are bad clockers, there are a few gems but most of them did ~2900 in the opty era.

this has got me hoping, though.

Trust me, there are better ones than mine out there

But you always buy B9's, they're the worst coldbuggers around! I tried a 4000+ toledo this weekend, needed +30 for 280mhz FSB or something like that!

BB's are a bit better, hehe

Btw, my chip hateD (I sold it I remember) voltage, so I think it's a decent OC with that little volts. 1.85v should've given me about 3850 I guess, but this chip didn't like it...
