Yes the bottom image above is Chicago Style "deep dish". Many Chicagoans refer to it as "stuffed" as it's a pie crust-like dough (in terms of shape) stuffed with cheese (and any meats or veggies etc) and covered with sauce. It's awesome. A few places ship them worldwide frozen man! It's about 85% as good as right out of the oven at the restaurant (which is still really good)
Below is another pride of my hometown- the "Chicago-style hot dog". Also known as "garden on a bun". All beef frank with mustard, raw onion, tomato, radioactive-green relish, pickle and (optional) hot peppers. Sprinkled with celery salt and served on a steamed poppy seed bun. Ketchup is strictly verboten! Encased meat heaven folks...![]()
