Yes, and thanks! We are currently looking for more Q6600 temps in the Water Cooled section of the board.

I should tell you though that more fine tuning was done on my every day 3.8GHz Bios settings.

I primed for 2 hours using my above 3.8GHz settings, and encountered an error on 1 core. My guess was it probably was just Core voltage issue, but remember when Priming 3.9GHz I needed a wee bit more CPU PLL voltage too.

Allot of the boy's are running more NB voltage than me and my 1.51v's, so I took that up a notch too to 1.55V's.

I also moved my South bridge voltage from 1.05v's to 1.075v's for no good reason.

I cutt Prime95 loose again to see if my 3.8GHz would still have an error in 2 hours. My result was an error free 4 hour run, and me adopting these new settings.

My 4hour error free run using my 3.8GHz settings. Room temp was a brisk 55°F in my cold Ohio basement:

Are you running a water block on the SB also ?
How did you remove the stock water cooling from the bridges?

My damn NB and SB run at 45-50 temp with 1.36v and 1.06v

    WHyyyyyyy ?

Edit.. Lol funny thing, I tried to remove my Formula and switch back to my P35 and the water cooling CPU brace is adhesive stuck on the back of the Formula board. DOH !
Can I remove it somehow without ruining my mobo? Anyone ?

    Thanks guys!!

It took a good 10 minutes with the hair dryer warming the heat sink, before the stock goop let me gently wiggle the ROG cooling free.
Remove the 4 screws and all pins before starting.
Never pull up! Just gently wiggle side to side. It will start to move when it's ready....
Ware a glove as the sink get's hot with hair dryer heat blowing on it.
    Mine was coaxed off successfully.
Try to avoid over heating the mobo if possible. Mabey use a towel as a heat shield for the chips?
The stock goop will be semi-molten when it slides free. It is the ideal time to use some acetone to clean the rest off.

SB is a heat sink and dedicated fan. I like to call it my PowerBridge cooling.
    My build details.

A little heat from a hairdryer should soften the adhesive enough to remove the backplate.

Can we not just flash this mb with the x48 bios, are they not the same mb with a higher binned chipset?

If you twisted my arm, I would have to say the block is a big part, and a strong RAD.
I have already mentioned my cool basement. Big advantage there too.

I'm ordering chipset blocks as we speak, WC for NB and just a heat sink for the SB. I might get the Thermalright HR-09S Slanted Motherboard MOSFET Cooler also.

Send them to me, I'll test them for ya Sometimes, you need to the use the data lifeguard tools to "prepare" the drives for OS installation. If you still have problems, then I'll troubleshoot the various drive settings, as well as "boot order" in the bios.

Dear kup, I talked with Leeghoofd, he got a P5K deluxe aswell, like I do. I had 0 problems from the day I bought the P5K deluxe same goes for leefhoofd. I didnt test the p5K deluxe and maximus head on head, but leeghoofd get lower 3dmarkscores on the maximus then on the deluxe.
He aswell confirmed there is really NO advantage going from the P5K deluxe to the maximus.

And I see u got the Blitz, I never had the chance to test that board, but leeghoofd did he said that the Blitz forumla was the best out the 3 and that can be said, I would say if u are not happy with your maximus, give your blitz a second chance

    * edit: I will test tomorrow my G.Skill 8000CL5 4GBPQ on my Deluxe, if I can run 1066/1080 5-5-5-15/12 up to 2.1v, then I am 100% sure my Maximus crapped out and need to be dumped, already confirmed with my Crucial Tracers already, as I already requested the RMA and had already a RMA ticket, lucky I didnt RMA it before testing it on the Deluxe, would be pita if I will get a pair that are worser then the samples I got now.

I don't know the difference, but it sounds like a keeper to me after that...

I like the word CONFIDENTIAL on it ...oooooooohhh
James Bond stuff... That's the 007 model.
I would hate to lapp that one unless CoreTemp would correctly identify it as Special Issue.

I just don't know what to do. Thinking about buy another board...

    This thing just can't run my Tracers @ 1200Mhz...with any divider, any FSB...nothing. 1200Mhz 5-5-4-12 @ 2.1v on P5K Deluxe, same on GA-X38-DQ6, IP35 PRO, P35 T2R , etc..

But I can't reach DDR1100+ with minimum stability, when it boots...tried today with my Q6600, E6300ES, E8400 and nothing. Tried the templates on first page...man, I just tried everything today and nothing.

Any advice? I'll sell this POS tomorrow....

And sorry for the really bad english, I'm just VERY angry now with this ing board....

    Rbs.

I take it the 5-5-4-12 are exactly what the Tracers are rated at?

opps just looked, they are 5-5-5-15 by the book.

Mine are 5-5-5-18 and havent messed with that yet..
My BIOS is set that way too.

    Have you tried 5-5-5-15 yet?

opps, I think you did. I might be talking above outta my league!
I better take a pass here.

They are 5-5-5-15 1066. But it doesn't matter...all other motherboards I've tested can do DDR1200 with this ram, easy.

    But the maximus not.

I hear the next BIOS is memory related? Mabey then?

How fast in GHz can you currently run using that ram? Are you getting the 3.8GHz in your sig?
If so thats good, but I am just starting to read about memory settings now...
I don't know much on the matter today..
I am working on changing that.

Like question: should I be trying to lower the 18 to see if my computer cares?
    Lower = faster correct?
With my current settings, my DDR2 800MHz ram, is running at 848MHz, and currently is being over-volted by 0.12v, which I don't get a vote on.
It's 1.8v ram, and set that way in the BIOS too. There is no lower setting available for me to select.
They are already getting some extra juce, should I be expecting them to run faster too? 1.8v ram has a bad reputation in general for being good OC'ers correct?
It's just that I have heard that higher voltage ram OC's better? I don't know if it is true or not?
I would welcome any advice, or opinions on the matter.
Note: I wouldn't want to run my ram on the raggid edge, if it would have an exceptionally high fatality rate toward low voltage ram.
I am currenty down to 1 2GB stick, and would hate to loose it.

I have the same problem as rbsmontemor. My RAM sucks on this board, but was rock solid on my P35 platinum. This BIOS coming better fix it or this board is in the trash and ASUS products can kiss my ass, I gave them a try coming back to this board, but it will be last if they dont have better support.

    EDIT here are my pics

Impressive! The led's on the RAM do look good.

I dig the front view with the blue lights too.

    Good job man.

Hey thanks a lot. When my NB and SB heat sinks arrive I will take some pics of inside the case and the mobo after I mod it. Hope the hair dryer works to remove NB good.

I've got my tracers at 1100 5-5-5-15 stable on this board and I've had them at 1130 5-5-5-15 on this board. I think the lack of advanced board timing control really hurts this board. I can get higher clocks stable, but performance really suffers because of lack of board latency control.

I've got the "new" Ballistix, so I think my clocks could be limited by the RAMs ability.
