Hmmm, well they had to be low to hit those speeds. My CPU score did go up, I find it odd that NB, and HT will affect the outcome of what my 3d will do.

Can't wait to get another AMD Quad to play with again, but I would like to get an Intel machine first.

What's up with the 3850's scoring so close to the 8800GT/GTS cards in this thread?

AMD has the spider platform working nicely together. Individually they aren't anything special, but together they seem to work very well.

question: why are the cpu scores so low? just curious, dual core intels get a substantially higher cpu score.

They will definitely if the bandwidth can be saturated. NB all the way to 2.6G does definitely help as it increases MEM/IMC bandwidth greatly and reduces heavily their latencies, and HT you need at least to 1.6G or you'll see lower scores than possible. CPU speed with Phenom affects MEM bandwidth quite a lot.

Which dual cores get 3500-3900 CPU score at sub 3GHz? None do and I have them of both sides. They all scores in the 2k region.

Those Phenom scores are ~200 points below a Q6600 G0 at those speeds, so quite in-line. QX6700 B3 did 39xx at stock which is around the speeds these guys are showing. They are what we expect going off what we know of Phenom perf. Some of them are -200 points because they're on Vista.

As you can see my 1st bench with 8800GT and CPU @ 2816 scored ~4250 in XP x86 and in Vista x86 @ 2805 ~3900, proofing KTE's post.

    Kar0nt3,

Nice score, what's up with the super low clocks on the 3870x2? Crank up your NB, the 3870x2 and you've got a shot at 16K

    Many thanx
I think it's an error of GPUZ that's doesn't support well the 3870X2..I don't think i can hit the 16k score..i've to try to go on with phenom frequency or put under oc the X2..
I'm trying different settings but if I the NB I lose performance..I'm trying to understand this curios matter...

I don't mean to piss on anyone's parade but holy crap does AMD hardware give low 3dmark results now... My E8400 + 8800 GT scores 13.7k, and I could hit 15 with tweaks and some decent memory.
