    Hi Grau,

There is a power user setting for this, you can multiply it by a certain amount, like 1.33, and it will shoot higher.

I've seen this with earlier version of the drivers with my 8800U so you might try a later nvidia driver if you are using the latest Rivatuner.

going from 1380 to 1700mhz in shader clock gave me about 300points in 3dmark03.

We need to compare memory timings I think, how do we do that?

    Scores added.

Being a fellow competitor and with the old British sense of fair play and sportsmanship here's a link to voltmodding the Asus

    http://www.zen141854.zen.co.uk/ASUSVMGuide.htm

    Note to all

I have added DigitalJesus as an example of how the remaining scores will look going down, it is too longwinded putting all other scores on.

    Sorry couldn't resist(or) ...

Ok, whats the IC components on the back, one of those is likely to be the vgu mod and will more than likely be from ISL, Richtek or Nexsem etc. Ignore any ACT components and let us know the markings on the top and we can give you the pin to mod, in all probability.

When you have the leg to solder to then it's 20x the measured resistance to ground and then work downwards. That's the fools guide that I have been using for the last 5 years.

Now as for the Vmem mod for the Leadtek I hope Mr J.Guru will be as kind to me Coz I can't work it out Probably one of the 3 leg regulators on the board somewhere .....

    Regards

    Andy

Hey Andy, I read your vmod guide, really great! Can you tell me what I must do differently on an EVGA?

With those you are best reversing the polarity.

No, no, not the card, I mean the entire Earth!

Yes, that's how bad those cards are, 10x worse than an Asus.

    he he ..

    CRUEL!!!

And here I was bouncing with glee that I wouldnt have to poke around to find the mod points (they're on the back on the IC's with like 16 legs) lol

Well got to admit that I have no idea whether an Asus or an EVGA or whatever is better or worse.

According to Rol-Co from the Dutch competition there are 3 types of PCB layout, I would imagine he knows all of them so PM him and I hope he does not mind helping out.

Or maybe he will post on this thread ? I'll ask him by PM.

    Regards

Hey now, I like my little EVGA 8400GS She might not have the beefy PWM of the Asus but so far it's been good to 900MHz at 1.74vgpu Later today I'm going to toss 2.0v at it and see how it scales. Now if only the DDR2 didn't suck huge uhh soccer balls.
