well if you guys want a little preview of the TYAN i5400 XT just check my HW Bot sig, I currently hold 16th in the world for 32m and 11th for 1024m.

The best part about those numbers is that those are from the stock system. I'm going to be BSELing the procs to 40mhz soon, i'll let you guys know when I've got #1 in the world

PS Hwbot is wrong, i am not using t5450 memorem procs, LOL @ bad cpuID

    Any updates?
"To exist in this vast universe for a speck of time is the great gift of life. Our tiny sliver of time is our gift of life. It is our only life. The universe will go on, indifferent to our brief existence, but while we are here we touch not just part of that vastness, but also the lives around us. Life is the gift each of us has been given. Each life is our own and no one else's. It is precious beyond all counting. It is the greatest value we have. Cherish it for what it truly is."

My guess would be end of spring at the earliest, perhaps into summer. Especially since X48 is taking its sweet time and we hear about chips getting pushed back.

Guys I am waiting for procs for my SkullTrail. I did attempt to fire up the X48 but could not get it to properly boot (no vid but fans running and such . . U know the deal). I picked up an Asus X38 today to help troubleshoot the X48 (need to verify ram and CPU are ok . . .this is same CPU that was in 780i when it stopped working . . .also have an E6600 I will use to test if each mobo works and several PSUs and sets of ram). So right now at my house I have:
    1 SkullTrail
    1 Bonetrail 2 X48
    1 Asus X38
    1 EVGA 780i
    1 Asus Striker Extreme 680i
2 EVGA 680i (one in Order 66 build with X6800 proc)

    QX9650
    QX6700
    E6600

    Clearly low on procs . . .

tons of ram as well . . .tho only 2 gigs of borrowed DDR3

Need to do some good testing

    Yes it has.

While the board also supports “regular” Xeons, Intel has developed a “special” Xeon just for Skulltrail and enthusiast desktop-based workloads. In contrast to the regular Xeons, the “special” version are designed to take advantage of the unique capabilities of the board, Intel said. For example, Piednoel explained that these Xeons have “aggressive pre-fetchers,” which schedule data retrieval and utilize front-side bus bandwidth differently than traditional Xeons, something the analyst referred to as “tuning”. It’s this internal tuning and unlocked multiplier that differentiates them.

I would trade in my 2 SM boards for ST boards just for the OC'ing abilities.

Why do I forsee some existing benchmarks going to be, um destroyed?

There is very little interest in Sandra CPU Synthetic Benchmarks, the results can be easily predicted beforehand.

The most interesting benchmark is memory bandwidth test, specifically multi-threaded memory benchmark.
