Intel has said that E8400 users should ignore their core temp readings and instead concentrate on the cpu temps, which they recommend as 61.4C (or perhaps 72.4C as was noted in another post) being the maximum. I would check your bios cpu reading and compare it to any Windows software program you are using. My bios temp reads about 4C higher than most software readings.So the read out of CPU temp by a program like Abits uGuru, should be what I look at and be concerned over, not each individual core, via core temp software? At least that is the opinion as far as Intel are concerned?
