    I didn't think so. It sounds like your on chip sensors might be a little screwed up. Your processor won't start throttling until DTS=0 and you are still a long ways from there.

    Set up CoreTemp like this and it will report readings from the DTS directly and show you how far you are away from throttling.



    Intel hasn't changed the location or format of this data so CoreTemp does not need to be updated to read it. CoreTemp's interpretation of this data may have changed but all versions of CoreTemp that have this option should have no trouble reading the DTS sensors and should report the same thing.

    I can't seem to get Coretemp working on Vista x64. It errors out, and I tried running with administrator.

    Any thoughts?

    Disable Signature by pressing F8 before the OS loading. Make sure you are not installed all the window updates. Otherwise, it doesnt matter if you disable the signature it weren't work.
