And to your EU guys... you have products we can't buy here, I don't sit around thread crapping on those threads or posting moans on the UK or France/Belgian web sites (only languages I speak).

Give it a rest, it is what it is and future statements will clarify further. Thread makes me grumpy lol.
Did i moan about a non UK version..erm urm, ioh i wonder etc etc yarder yarder sure ya not born in a bloody barn no i didnt moan i asked a simple friging question kid, learn to read!

I also surported the fact that it's about time a devlopment of these happend and flay play at it, but i say guess as i think the timing is ether way too late or judging by recent event i have been at and seeing people set up too early as a lot of peopl are really not ready for items like this

Wasn't targeting you Pete, there were some really rude statements by some others who definitely need to grow some manners. Kid? Thank You Very much!

I'd rather see him post his stuff here to be honest... I agree about the whining part though...

My budget won't allow me to purchase an unproven piece of equipment and I'm not going to pay to be a beta tester. I'll wait until a few get out into the wild before I consider this further. My hope is the first few will impress.

it would have to be a monster converter, i used 110V site transformers for testing here in the UK so it is possible.

the main issue is we won't be shipping outside North America.

Thinking by the time you have bought a transformer and the unit and paid for shipping you may as well just have a 220V unit built locally

Well thats fair comment, I know we have tested QX6850's with it at 4.5GHZ+, hard to know CPU temps as coretemp stops at 9C though

    noOOO don't go Tony!!!

    Stop whinging people lol.

    Stops at 9 degrees with a QX6850's at 4.5ghz+.

So if it's below 9c and I was in America, I would be sold

Look at the size and easy set up as opposed to making a phase change, or even have a big as clumsy box with big piping and wrapped in insulation next to your computer.

Looks ideal for 24/7 use with some minor insulation.

I'm sorry, but this is really poor from OCZ. Good companies that are making claims, spreading news and interest about future products actually deliver on what they say.

OCZ say, "oh we had so many problems getting this to market so were only selling in the US and once our initial stock is gone, thats it". Well, Asetek never had any problems shipping to countries other than the US. They didnt create a storm in the news and then give out excuses that competitors dont seem to suffer from.

A classic poor business tactic that IBM became famous for was for announcing machines with amazing features at a great price, and then never releasing them. The stalled purchases to competitor products helped their position but certainly didnt help the brand recognition or respect.

So what is the issue here. The initial stock won't be enough to supply all those who might be interested in the purchase of one? Although I don't remember Tony saying how many units that consisted of. Could be 10 or 1000 for all anyone knows. Or is it the availability being constrained to the U.S. and you're whining because you feel left out?

    v., whined, whin·ing, whines.

    v.intr.

    1. To utter a plaintive, high-pitched, protracted sound, as in pain, fear, supplication, or complaint.
    2. To complain or protest in a childish fashion.
    3. To produce a sustained noise of relatively high pitch: jet engines whining.

If it is going to be like that then it's a said day for the XS community..
A lot of people do appreciate OCZ reps coming here and give us prime news on your products.. don't let a few "I always know it better", "I have too much money to spend" naturally born whiners take that away from this community..

I for one enjoy OCZ reps being here and they've thought me a lot ever since.. I dislike those who feel the need to thread crap every chance they get.. get a life and respect other people opinions..

    Praz, pull your head in......

OCZ released details of a product that was less expensive and had better features than competitors. They consistenly failed to meet expected delivery targets and have after a long time now come up with a very limited distribution strategy that is alien to how OCZ has done business in the past.

Yes I'm dissapointed, but it is not childish compaining for consumers to express dissapointment over how OCZ have missed the ball on this product. Especially when competitors have delievered in the market - albeit at a fair greater price.

This is a classic tactic that famously was used by IBM where they used it to threaten competitors in the marketplace with, and its one that is proven to do damage to consumer sentiment.

As a consumer of OCZ products I am entitled to my opinion, you don't have to agree.

I can't wait to get my hands on one for sure ... I'm thinking Foxconn MARS - or ASUS Commando - meets my E6850 and pump it up with some AxeRAM or TEAM

Imo there's a difference between stating your opinion and tearing someone a new one..

I noticed lately that a lot of users only visit a thread to post crap, their fanboyism and what not..
I lost count on the amount of threads of fanboys duelling it out, statements like "that's crap" "too restrictive" "that's never going to work" "vaporware" and what not...

I agree with the fact OCZ dropped a bit with the Cryo-Z.. but every single company has dropped that ball at least once.. so what, things happen.
It's just stupid to tear a company a new one over it and that's what has been happening here..
Maybe it's because there are OCZ reps active here and it's easier to [censored] against them... I'd hate to see the replies if an AMD rep was active here just after the Phenom launch..

I've subscribed to the 'OCZ Hot Deals and Special Offers" forum section. Too bad there is only a daily and weekly e-mail notifications options, since 'instant' notification would be nice if the units are going to trickle out due to the hand testing involved. Hopefully that'll help me avoid the elbows that will be flying when these units release.

How do we purchase them? will they be released to retailers, or will we have to buy direct?

I'll buy one, irregardless of any reports on how it performs...let's see how honest people are when submitting results!

tony ignore the ing it's people who are jealous of stuff they want but probably won't be able to have.

I for one am ecited about the prospect of this. I of course can not afford such a device(I am a college student and I don't want to dip out of my savings) but it will be interesting watching others go crazy with this.

I too appreciate that OCZ discusses and supports their products like they do.

Negative feedback is certainly not being a "hater" and I think that sort of extremist labelling is best avoided.

As Nightcrawler has said, they havent dropped the ball too often and I guess that adds to my dissapointment on this product, given I had a real sense of it being delivered. Still, I do have negative feedback about the way OCZ managed this and I hope its the last time they do so.
