Tha doen't look my my IONE for sure! You have some of the same gouges on the GPU area, they did pass it with two smaller bits too. Your gouges are more to the bottom and ohh 60-80% less in amount and much less deep, prolly 1/000. I think I see a small step towards the bottom, at the same spot your gouges are, Your Mem and mosfets look much better than mine.
All stock for now, no need for more, but it's gonna be soon methinks.

Stick with the GTX. You have to SLI the two GTs to surpass the GTX. I have two GTXs in SLI and there are a lot of hassles in how and if sli is supported by game, hoping nvidia publishes a new set of drivers to fix something, etc. Just get another GTX if you really want to go SLI. Then you can decide it is worth it before getting rid of the workhorse GTX.
Update, they shipped a new one overnight, should have it tomorrow.

Martin,
Here is the link for the volt mod. Too much for my taste.

This link basically says you do not get much more out of volt modding due to some built-in voltage regulation.

Thanks Martin, I knew they would. Talked to Jeremy etc by phone. Great guy. I was so crestfallen ya know? He went through all the stock and found a few more. He's got it all fixed now and knows what happened etc.
Sorry it was me since I'm new to the WC scene, all bright-eyed and such. I'm sure it's a crazy place at DD manufacturing/research now due to all this new crap coming out every few weeks.
And my Tygon 1/2 x 3/4 silver is stuck at the Denver airport since the 26th on the UPS page.... So no hurry I guess LOL, grrrr.
Ohh and thanks for your hobby, it helps us a ton for us noobs. Glad your all smart and, makes our mistakes lesser. But less fun for you reading our OMG, it blew up and whwhwhwhwaaa?

If your GTX is A2, you can't get much more than this without voltmodding. However, if it is A3, you can push it a bit. Mine is currently at 700/1000 and I'm feeling there is still room to push. For anyone who didn't know, the A3 core is released specifically to feed the 8800 Ultra line up with a few getting on others (like faulty Stream Processors).
Well got my replacement IONE 8800GT block today, they shipped overnight. It's beutiful! Perfectly flat and just makes me all happy inside, hehe.
Thanks DD for the fast service.

I got a IONE installed on my 8800GT over the weekend, had to redo the O/C on my card as the previous clock of 798/1998/1008 was not working. The Core clock had to be dropped down to 792.
Anywho, in a loop with a over clocked E6850 (@4.2Ghz), Black Ice Pro III radiator and a non-vario D5, my idle temps were about 32C, loaded around 34-35C. I need to do more testing when i get home as this was this last thing I did before going to bed last night and my time spent testing was brief.
Ambient was around 19-20C.
I was a little worried while bleeding though, as there are two spots where bubbles take forever to get out of, and two more spots that form vortexes...bubbles got stuck there for a while.
Yea, I had small bubbles in the same areas, but they cleared right up, see my temps in my sig. Using Martins flow rate chart with the MCW-60 as the GPU (AND the IONE is even better flow) I'm at 1.28 flow with 5.5 nozzle. Veddy happy with the results.
Linky to pics I just put up here, at end of thread.
