Still a black screen, So I unsoldered the vdroop mod, still a black screen. I didnt unsolder the caps yet (they are on the back of the board and would take a while to get everything out of my case) I know for sure that the polarity is correct on the caps, so polarity isnt the problem.

What could it be? I will be testing another GPU(unmodded) this weekend to see if its the board or the GPU. Also one other thing that may be helpful is that during the voltmod I ripped the + trace off of the pcb (the one for the vgpu mod, right below the primarion chip) but I saw that the trace led directly to the resistor right below it so I just soldered it to that. Is that ok or could that be causing the problem?

Thanks for reading and thanks for any help
2.35v? What size VR did you use? Did you measure Ohms before soldering it in place? Increasing vmem has been shown to do nothing. Decreasing vmem is actually better... at least on the Qimonda chips. Have you read the whole thread yet?

If you managed to rip a trace off you may have been too heavy handed w/ the soldering iron. There's a chance your gfx card is fine since it may be your Mobo at fault, but you may have damaged lower PCB layers. How long did you hold the tip on the PCB, and what kind of iron do you have? Do you have any pics of the gfx card in question?
